Just watched the organiser of the weekend rallies against gender violence interviewed on @SkyNewsAust
#SarahWilliams will destroy any credibility she has by immediately playing the victim card instead of answering questions that are put to her respectfully.
She was simply asked if there was any recording of @AlboMP saying words to the effect of "I'm the Prime Minister & I run the country".
Her answer wasn't clear , but involved her saying some people from the rally would be on @2GB873 tomorrow. When the interviewer tried to clarify if they had an audio recording Ms Williams went on a rant about victim blaming instead of clarifying her answer.
She also waffled on about how since she, as a victim of sexual violence, had said Albo said it then the media must take her word for it. If they don't they are victim blaming.
No, they are doing their job.
Then when the offer was made for anyone else from the rally to appear on Sky News tomorrow, Ms Williams said she wouldn't want to put them through the victim blaming she had been put through.
Everyone knows I am no fan of Albo & I think he probably did say it, but Ms Williams does herself no favours by avoiding questions by playing the victim card. It makes her looks like a petulant child instead of a leader & diminishes the good work she did organising these rallies.
