Just watched the organiser of the weekend rallies against gender violence interviewed on @SkyNewsAust #SarahWilliams will destroy any credibility she has by immediately playing the victim card instead of answering questions that are put to her respectfully. She was simply asked if there was any recording of @AlboMP saying words to the effect of "I'm the Prime Minister & I run the country". Her answer wasn't clear , but involved her saying some people from the rally would be on @2GB873 tomorrow. When the interviewer tried to clarify if they had an audio recording Ms Williams went on a rant about victim blaming instead of clarifying her answer. She also waffled on about how since she, as a victim of sexual violence, had said Albo said it then the media must take her word for it. If they don't they are victim blaming. No, they are doing their job. Then when the offer was made for anyone else from the rally to appear on Sky News tomorrow, Ms Williams said she wouldn't want to put them through the victim blaming she had been put through. Everyone knows I am no fan of Albo & I think he probably did say it, but Ms Williams does herself no favours by avoiding questions by playing the victim card. It makes her looks like a petulant child instead of a leader & diminishes the good work she did organising these rallies.

@gary13057318 @news_australian You'd have to be crazy to buy into the left wing conspiracy theories about the couch. The judge basically cleared Reynolds & Brown of any wrong doing. Can't wait for Ms Higgins to hand over all those tax payer dollars she got in defamation payouts.

Sydney has experienced two terrible stabbings in a few days. Both were tragic, but the reaction of the local communities was very interesting. In the Eastern Suburbs, community members assisted police in doing their job. In the Western Suburbs, community members turned on the police, injuring a couple of them and damaging many police vehicles. Why the difference in reactions? Is it as simple as the ethnic differences of the areas? Is it because one was a religious attack? Was it simply a hatred of the police? What are your thoughts on why the reactions were so different?

Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. He got exactly what he deserved. There will be a massive outcry when more people start taking their own protection into their own hands. We are not going to be too far off seeing a 10 or 11-year-old offender killed by someone protecting their house/car/family. Sadly, he will probably take that to happen before anyone in power decides they should do something to stop this crime wave. The first step is to admit that we don't have a youth crime way in this country; we have a black crime way in this country. Only when we admit to the actual problem can we start to come up with real solutions. dailytelegraph.com.au/truecrimeaustr…

@VancityReynolds @RMcElhenney @Wrexham_AFC Is there anything that can be done to help @_LiamRoberts continue being able to do his YouTube videos? I am in Australia and love watching his videos, as it makes me feel like I was at the game. I get the impression that even though the letters he received were from Wrexham, it was a directive of the EFL. Liam has offered to donate any money he receives to charity, so he doesn't want this to be financially beneficial to him - although I would happily pay him to watch his videos. If there is anything that can be done to allow Liam to continue doing his vlogs, I implore you to help him come to some form of arrangement with Wrexham & the EFL to make this happen.

I've never voted for the Liberals or the Greens. Greens would screw the country entirely and collapse our economy in months if given control. As I live in a regional area, the Liberals are not an option. I've supported the ALP, Nationals, and Independents at various times. I have been an ALP delegate at State conferences for the area I grew up in - but that was when the ALP had genuine leaders and represented working-class people. Independents have been nothing but a disappointment over the years. They always seem willing to sell out their morals & constituents if they think it will ensure they stay in Parliament longer or put extra money in their bank account. No worse example of this than @TonyHWindsor. The Nationals are, at present, the least worst option. Local members engage with the community regularly, and his office has been willing to assist constituents with problems involving federal departments. They get my vote for those reasons and the majority of the party's policies. The only thing that would be better is if they would break from the Liberals and sit separately from them in Parliament whilst still giving supply support but not being held to having to support all Liberal policies. #auspol

New figures show annual inflation dropped from 6.0% to 5.4% in the Sept qtr, marking the third consecutive qtr of lower annual inflation. While inflation is still too high, these numbers show our cost of living plan is helping to take some of the pressure off Australians #auspol

Mr Albanese also uses a microphone to condemn the Israeli military. “The response of Israel has been to meet children throwing rocks with helicopters, with tanks and with missiles,” the future Prime Minister said in the resurfaced clip. —The resurfaced clip comes just one day after French President Emmanuel Macron visited Israel and called for an international coalition of forces to fight Hamas. Mr Albanese was asked about the French President’s commitment to Israel during a press conference on Wednesday but refused to back France's call for a coalition of forces to fight the terrorist organisation.

Resurfaced news footage has revealed Anthony Albanese's past appearances at pro-Palestine rallies earlier in his parliamentary career. Albanese has over his entire Parliamentary career spoken out against Israel and in support of Palestinians, In the grainy video, Mr Albanese can be seen protesting against Israel’s “occupation” of Palestine in Sydney’s Martin Place next to a sign reading “Stop the Israeli Slaughter: Free Palestine now”. skynews.com.au/australia-news…

Just like with #TheVoice, @LindaBurneyMP is living in a delusional world. The #ALP have as much chance of solving Australia's cost of living crisis as they did of winning the Referendum - NONE! Fuel prices are up. Rent is up. Electricity prices are up. The cost of new dwellings is up. Interest rates are up. The ALP's support in the latest opinion polls is the only thing falling. Don't say you weren't warned before that last Federal Election - Things Wouldn't Be Easy Under Albanese. #auspol #OneTermGovernment

I present Mr Jim Chalmers - Australia's worst treasurer in modern history. He has presided over more interest rate rises than any other Treasurer in the history of Australia. He has no plan to combat inflation or cost-of-living pressures. He withdrew tax rebates to tens of thousands of Australian workers while pocketing the biggest surplus in history. He could cut petrol excise immediately, as the LNP did, but won't. Another ALP MP promoted beyond his capabilities. #auspol

PLEASE SHARE AND RETWEET Following the movement of a motion by Councillor Karl Saleh, the @ourcbcity has decided to fly the flag of Palestine but not Israel. Please make no mistake; the councillors have decided to openly show their anti-semitism and support for the Hamas terrorist organisation. As an @AustralianLabor-controlled council, this is not a surprise; the ALP is no friend of the Jewish people. No doubt @AlboMP will have nothing to say on this matter. These councillors are standing shoulder to shoulder with the same people who believe that it is okay to behead and burn alive babies, to slaughter innocent young people attending a music festival, to kidnap elderly people and to parade captured women naked through the streets. This was a unanimous decision of the Mayor and Councillors. Each of them now has the blood of the people murdered by Hamas on their hands. They should all hang their heads in shame. Below are the faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses of these terrorist sympathisers. The faces of the people who believe that the deaths of innocent Palestinians are a tragedy, and it is, but the killing of Jewish babies, children and young people is not. I encourage you to share their faces, names and contact details with as many people as possible. I further encourage you to contact them by phone and email to express how terrible their decision is and how they should not support Hamas- which is precisely what they are doing, no matter what spin they try to put on it. But, while they have shown themselves to be disgusting people in their actions, I ask you not to sink to their level and be respectful in your messages to them. Do not abuse them or show the same hatred they have shown the Jewish people; express how wrong the decision they made was. Mayor Bilal El-Hayek @ClrBilalelHayek Councillor Khal Asfour @khal_asfour Councillor George Zakhia @George_Zakhia Councillor Chris Cahill @christocahill Councillor Rachelle Harika @RachelleHarika Councillor Charlie Ishac Councillor Barbara Coorey Councillor Jessie Nguyen Councillor Clare Raffan Councillor Charbel Abouraad Councillor Linda Downey Councillor David Walsh @davidliamwalsh Councillor Sazeda Akter Councillor Khodr (Karl) Saleh @SalehOAM Councillor Bhadra Waiba #auspol #IsraelPalestineConflict

A Sydney council will fly the Palestinian flag until a cease fire is declared - but the same gesture will not be extended to the flag of Israel.
Canterbury-Bankstown Council, in Sydney’s south west, will fly the Palestinian flag from its main administration building in Campsie and at Paul Keating Park in Bankstown. Labor councillor Karl Saleh introduced the motion at Tuesday evening’s council meeting “in support of the Palestinian people” until “a cease fire is declared”.

People like @Briggs need to understand the concept of freedom of choice and democracy. They must understand that bullying tactics such as this are part of why the @yes23au campaign failed miserably. Briggs is obviously ignorant of the concept of a corporation being different from a single shareholder or director. It is not a requirement for all Directors to agree for a Corporation to take a position; it only requires a majority to agree. A single, or even multiple, Director/s can have opposing opinions. As it turns out, Brett Ralph held a position in line with the clear bulk of Australians. Briggs & The Storm held the minority view. Briggs is entitled to his dummy spit, but the idea of withdrawing his Storm membership over the actions of a single shareholder/director is simply an overreaction to having supported the losing side of the Referendum. Will Briggs poll the Board of every corporation he deals with to determine if they voted YES? Would he change his electricity supplier or mobile phone company if a single Director voted NO? If they are a public corporation, there is a good chance over 50% of their shareholders voted NO. With his stance, he might find it hard to buy his groceries going forward. Something tells me that Briggs will only take a stance in a way that gets him publicity. #TheVoice #auspol smh.com.au/national/publi…

Regardless of who is in power? So, the LNP's robo-debt scheme and ScoMo holding multiple portfolios should be considered acceptable? The Royal Commission should never have happened? The acceptable standards are to be determined by the Government of the day. Is that what you are saying? #auspol

Here's the next threat to our constitution. I've just been listening to an interview with Williams, on ABC News Radio. He wants to change the rules of referenda. He wants to move the goal posts, hobble one team, and have one-eyed umpires supported by a Constitution Commission to promote new ideas. He wants a bloody AFL, not good government. unsw.edu.au/staff/george-w…
