@SkylarSkye3 International travel is stupid expensive for most of the country. And unless you live in a big city or near the coasts it is also a ridiculous hassle. My daughter is currently on a school trip to France and Spain. Cost $6k. 10 days. Insane.

I’ve spoken to a few Americans about travelling/holidays (vacation) and a lot of them don’t even have a passport Why is this? 90%+ of Europeans have a passport

A few years ago I was working as a hostess in a restaurant. One night, two men come in and ask for a table. I lead them to an available one.) Older Man: "We can't sit at this table." Me: "I'm sorry. Is there something wrong?" Older Man: "We just can't sit here; move us somewhere else." (I'm confused, as the table I was seating them at was actually our most popular one. I start walking toward a manager to ask where I should move them, when the two young, clean, nicely-dressed men at the next table happen to get up to leave.) Older Man: "It's okay! We can sit here now!" (I realize this guy assumed the two young men were gay, and could apparently not eat in their vicinity. I relate what happened to my (gay) manager and the (straight) server.) Manager: "[Server], you're only allowed to talk to these guys as if you're the gayest person on this planet." (I will never forget the look of horror on the men's faces when the server, a huge, beefy black man, started telling them the specials while sounding like a drag queen.)

I relate love how “barista” is the job conservatives bring up as a lazy slacker job when one shift at a moderately busy Starbucks would have them crouched between stacks of milk crates sobbing in the back room

@TheTrespassersW @IMAO_ Hate comes from the fact that a lot of people who back in, can't, in fact, do so quickly or well. It takes forever to back in, blocking other cars, and half the time once they get it in the spot it is so close to one line that no one can get in or out of the car next to them.

Backing into a parking space only makes sense if you’re robbing a bank where that extra second or two you save in your getaway might count.

Under 30% of voting age people voted Republican. That ignores that being an A lister is pushed by under 18 also.

About half the country votes Republican. Yet we don’t have even CLOSE to half the representation in popular culture. We can’t get an A-lister or even a B-lister to appear at any of our events. Half the nation has a monopoly on the cultural institutions & the other half doesn’t know how to exercise their power. Maybe they’ve given up bc they’ve been villainized for so long & have no other options for entertainment.

MANDO grossed 4.2M on LOWEST first WED for #StarWars films under #Disney, -35.8% drop from TUE Discount Day (vs #SOLO’s 4.9M, -33.4%)! With that, #Grogu loses the #1 to #OBSESSION on its 6th day of release. The earliest a #StarWars live-action new release fell from #1 had been #SOLO, which lasted 14 days on the Top Spot. Once again, even last year’s #MemorialDay release #TheFinalReckoning (4.8M, -33%) did better, despite facing family juggernaut #LiloAndStitch and having -443 less theatres than Grogu! It hits a 108.8M cume after 6 days in the US.

@haterhunter450 I’ve been tracking box office for over a decade, Mando and Grogu is showing 0 signs of promising legs. Its weekday numbers are actually worse than Solos, it’s tracking far behind little mermaid which had a similar opening 3 years ago. This is gonna drop around 65% this weekend.

Mando and Grogu fell behind Obsession less than a week into its release. It is guaranteed to lose the #1 spot in its second weekend, and pending on Obsessions holds could slide to #3. This is turning into a real let down of a Box Office performance.
