I know I said I’m not training for anything, but… Lately everybody has been talking about something called “HYROX.” So I had to get after it. What is a HYROX? 8 x 1 km runs interspersed with these stations: 1. SkiErg 2. Sled Push 3. Sled Pull 4. Burpee Broad Jumps 5. RowErg 6. Farmers Carry 7. Sandbag Lunges 8. Wall Balls I was like: “Doesn’t seem that hard.” Well, I was dead wrong. This shit is hard. Who else is gonna give it a go?

In 2018 President Trump signed a bill that rolled back Dodd-Frank regulations on banks like Silicon Valley Bank. Prior to the bill, the threshold for which banks were required to submit resolution plans for their rapid and orderly resolution to the FDIC was set at $50 billion and higher. This was to ensure failure would not have serious adverse effects on financial stability in the US. Trump and Congressional Republicans raised this threshold to $250 billion. Silicon Valley Bank appears to have had about $175- $210 billion in consolidated assets, meaning they were likely excluded from some Dodd-Frank regulations. It seems likely that this could have been avoided if it weren't for the roll-backs by the Trump administration.
