On this Solemnity of the Ascension, I was pleased to welcome our new Nuncio, Archbishop Maury Buendía before he presented his credentials to King Charles III. This evening at 5.30pm, I will celebrate a Mass of welcome for him with many of my brother Bishops at @WestminsterCath.

My greatest achievement (I am so humble!) was to introduce a bit of fun into some of the exam questions. My aim was to help the candidates feel at ease and so give of their best.

I fully understand you not joining in the hymn singing, but you didn’t need to look so disapproving. I have attended acts of worship in faiths other than my own, but hopefully looked comfortable.

@DrCharles_CN @churchofengland @BathWells Yes, I worked for four years in the Department of Community Medicine at University College London - I was involved in evaluating screening for breast cancer. I think about half the Department were medically qualified - I wasn’t. We all got on together very well.

Praying for His Majesty King Charles in the Chapel Royal yesterday evening, ahead of his Coronation on Saturday. A simple but profound vigil of prayer with our Christian brothers and sisters. 🙏

Apparently the whole of Mr Devey’s last ever PE class had reasons for being unable to show up in their correct kit! A bit of a disappointment for our Head of Senior School after 34 years of teaching & made the more alarming by the mistaking of a cricket bat for a tennis racquet!
