@90sKnicksFan @bballbreakdown Knicks fans are babies. You guys got like 18 more foul calls, shot like 16 more FTs and barely led in the series overall. Get a clue.

I wonder if this is an example of what Pacers feel they're not getting away with, compared to OKC. Siakam seems to feel that way. But this almost looks like a take foul with the way he wraps his arms around Caruso 🤷‍♂️

@bballbreakdown Bruh are you serious? Don’t ruin your credibility by trying to be a troll. You know you’ve seen this throughout the playoffs when you go back to make your videos.

@SamQuinnCBS Rose has been wanting to acquire Towns since he took over the Knicks front office. Every year there have been rumors of trade talks

I don't think people appreciate just how significant those Early Bird restrictions on Hartenstein were to the Knicks. I really don't think they make the KAT trade if they'd been able to keep Hartenstein. A lot of the problems they're dealing with now flow out of that loss.
ShwinnyPooh, Diawara playing time advocate@shwinnypooh

Hartenstein leaving in FA for an offer the Knicks couldn't match is why this framing is generally not useful and why they've had to pivot the way they have over the last 12 months. Still, they've put together very different, but highly competitive rosters in consecutive seasons.

@chrismo12365268 @robert40269940 @Fab0o0o In his last 138 games in Phoenix he averaged 35.6 mpg and 39 mpg in the playoffs. This year in NY he averaged 37 mpg and 39 mpg in the playoffs. Bridges got the entire fan base thinking an extra 1.4 mpg is why he played like trash for most of the year

@Fab0o0o @dan_yao23 I’m guessing you aren’t aware that Bridges averaged 7 3s a game with Brooklyn or that he was Phoenix’s POA defender

@dan_yao23 Lol he legit tried to use him like DiVo. Had him playing a movement shooter role & POA defender, neither of which are his strong suits. Thibs doesn’t scheme based on players strengths he tried to fit players into the way he wants to play. Guy is still running a mid 2000’s offense

An anonymous Knicks player said he “didn’t feel like he could play” for Thibs if he returned next season, per @VinceGoodwill of @YahooSports “A couple” of players felt Thibs played his starters too many minutes & that he had an inability to adjust

@TheFrankIsola Dolan finished the Las Vegas sphere project in Sept 2023. Ever since then he’s been involved with the Knicks day to day. The proof is in the trades they’ve been making. They went from a cap focused team building through the draft to trading away all their young talent and picks

Wait, I thought the owner isn’t/hasn’t been involved? But take a step back: He wasn’t a fan of the only Knicks coach to do any real and sustained winning the last quarter century? How is that possible in a results oriented business? That’s madness.
Legion Hoops@LegionHoops

James Dolan reportedly “spearheaded” Tom Thibodeau’s firing, per @VinceGoodwill. “What was clear was Thibodeau’s firing being spearheaded by Knicks owner James Dolan, sources told Yahoo Sports. Dolan and team president Leon Rose held exit meetings with key Knicks players and the complaints were clear. Dolan, whom sources said was never a huge Thibodeau fan through the years, asked the questions in the meeting while Rose took a secondary role.”

@dan_ny_b @TheFrankIsola In this year’s playoffs, Obi is averaging 17 mpg, 9 ppg and 3 rpg. In his last year in NY, in the playoffs, Obi averaged 15 mpg, 7 ppg and 3 rpg. At some point, we all have to acknowledge that Obi has the same exact role in Indiana that he had in NY, which was backup 4

@TheFrankIsola Madness or just reading the room Thibs gave it all he had but outcoached in multiple playoff runs. I know u know Obi needed more mins lmao but in all seriousness it was deeper than that ie bench, off schemes, def schemes. Need to take next step as a whole, didn’t happen this szn

Clear foul occurs before he gathers it into the shot so no shooting foul. But understand this: for those of you who insist he draws these fouls without any intention of actually shooting a real jumper, HE MADE THIS SHOT

@DJAceNBA Why should I watch the NBA Finals when the NBA allowed the best player on my favorite team to be hand checked 94 feet in 18 playoff games? It is clearly stated in the rule book that hand-checking is illegal yet the NBA selectively enforced to severe disadvantage of my team

@UNIVerseDKnyte @kc2421813 @NBA_NewYork Yeah it was absurd. White essentially cross-checked him. He sprinted a good 30 feet and shouldered him directly in the back. Someone did that to Lebron years ago during his first stint in Cleveland and called for a flagrant

@kc2421813 @UNIVerseDKnyte @NBA_NewYork I understand that. I’m just pointing out that the refs already started tilting the game in the 2nd quarter. This wasn’t a situation where NY didn’t come out ready to play or a situation where they gave the refs the opportunity by not being focused

@kc2421813 @UNIVerseDKnyte @NBA_NewYork The refs did the exact same thing in the 2nd quarter. That’s why the game was tied at half time. Payne got called for 3 fouls in the first 5 mins of the quarter. And we were in the penalty with 8:30 left too.

@superman5142 @JCDubs02 @90sKnicksFan @Schmeelk It’s not a try. His +/- is the worst on the team. I’m not making the numbers up. Even in the big win, he was a minus and everyone else was a plus. I have no narrative. He sucks defensively. The numbers support it and the eye test supports it.

@shwinnypooh I think the issue is that all the good lineups only revolve around 7 players so it limits flexibility.

Knicks 10 most used lineups in the second round and the 10 most used lineups in the second round by all teams. Hard to see what particular reason there is to continue playing the starters this much beyond hoping for isolated good moments.

@HoggyLeeJ @HoopMixOnly I’m not sure if that’s the case. For ex., I think only Embiid and Porzingis to be the only player who is gonna retire or has had his career significantly impacted by knee injury. However I remember way more players like Hill, Penny, TMac, Roy, Isaiah Thomas, etc.

@SeanPMcGeown @ShaxNBA The game actually shifted a minute earlier. That’s when the Knicks picked up their 4th foul of the 2nd quarter (with 8:30 left) These drastic shifts in play always occur after the Celtics are in the bonus
