Many things to like about the @CooperativeBank. The atrocious wait time when you need to call them isn't one of them.

@spenley @amazon Same thing happened to me last week! 3yrs, 4k max just stopped working. Much back and forth with @amazon, but ended up with 15% off a new ‘replacement’. They also claimed running it off anything except the mains plug supplied (tv usb) shortens life and invalidates warranty 🤨

Question - my @amazon Fire Stick is 3.5 years old and has stopped working. I asked for a replacement or repair under the Consumer Rights Act. Amazon tell me on the live chat that "as per Amazon's policies, we only cover up to 2 years for Consumer Rights exceptions". Is this right? @MoneySavingExp

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the incident at Atherstone-on-Stour where four of our firefighters lost their lives. We will pause this evening at 7.28pm in remembrance of Darren Yates-Badley, Ashley Stephens, Ian Reid and John Averis. We will never forget them!

📍 Arnhem, 17 September 1944 On this day, paratroopers from the 1st Airborne Division began landing west of Arnhem. Their mission: to capture the bridge over the Lower Rhine (now the John Frost Bridge) and open the way for armoured units advancing through the southern Netherlands. Despite fierce German resistance, poor weather, and supply challenges, the paratroopers held the bridge for more than three days before being forced to withdraw. Our Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery now holds many of those who died during the early landings and the later stand at Oosterbeek. 🎪 This weekend, we’ll be at the Airborne Market on Ginkel Heath (Saturday) and at Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery (Sunday). Please do come and say hello at our stand — we’d love to meet you and share more about the history and those we commemorate.
