Because hail is f*cking cool, Michael. 🤪
The “purpose” is MUMBO.

Michael Fish@michaelfishtv
@MatthewCappucci I did my Masters in Atmospheric Science. What is the purpose of what you’re doing here?

@saltwterrr @oiiiiish @OKTornadoDB Prolly the super el niño other people are better at explaining than i am

@TwiistedTr33_ I remember they said that they wouldn't classify it as one, i guess they got enough reports

BREAKING: The tornado that impacted the city of Mineral Wells, Texas yesterday has been rated EF-3, with peak winds estimated at 145mph. This is the strongest tornado in Palo Pinto County since May 12th, 1982, and the strongest in Parker County since April 25th, 1990. #TXwx

🚨🌪️ One of our NWS storm survey teams has confirmed that an EF-3 tornado with winds up to 145 mph occurred in Mineral Wells yesterday evening. This is still preliminary and subject to change pending final review. #dfwwx #txwx

Video of a likely significant tornado moments ago near Brinkley, AR and Allendale, AR. Hopefully everyone was safe, but unfortunately there was a deep TDS on radar.

@project_Vorb Couldn't you check from another site a little closer or was it down
English

@lapseR8wx The warning behind the other one got cancelled, had media reports of it otg and it looked like debris was showing up on radar😭🙏
English

@StarInBoxWx Wasn't it a weird ass linear storm just producing 2in+ all over the place?
English

Just based off this video alone, we're talking about a minimum EF-2 tornado.
Stephen Cross@scr0sX
The damage in Mineral Wells is very bad.
English

@JigsawYessir @mee_wx Not a single storm firing is bad, the environment is continuing to improve and will most likely become a violent night-time outbreak, i really hope not
English

@mee_wx Not buying it this time around. 3/15 had too many storms to reach its max potential (was forecast to be the biggest of the 2 days), but not a single one has fired up yet here
English

I understand there is some uncertainty, but if the spc issues a pds tor watch 95% of the time it will be a big outbreak. This is not something that they would issue if they were not 100% confident in the tornado threat.
Ben Williams@ben_williams_wx
I could be missing something but I just don’t see it 🤷♂️

I have decided to issue my first ever CODE PURPLE! 🟪⚠️🟪
A code purple is the Highest severe weather risk to get issued so you know this is bad! 🟪
Based off 00z HRRR, the potential for very big tornadoes and and deadly storms is LIKELY... MAKE SURE you have a basement and have a buddy system. 🙏
the potential for strong wind gusts an excess of 90mph is likely ⚡️🌩️
the NWS WILL need reports from you as well! makes sure to send them stuff you see with your eyes! 👀
LOTS of strong storms are likely to develop in eastern Kansas and will likely immediately become severe and cause bad damage to unprepared areas. Make sure to have a plan in place for when the weather hits you! 🇹🇭
Storms will also have big hail that could do damage.
SO yeah strong to really strong storms are likely tomorrow, but it all depends on HRRR RRFS in the morning too so I can post stuff later.
you could spend the day in the basement, I will post an all clear once there is no storms left in the
If you don't have a basement that could be bad so make sure you are safe.
And remember DONT BE SCARED, BE PREPEARED!
