@dachswerk Thanks. I'm trying to make a European version of a certain keychain manufacturer from overseas so I need it to be perfect. Clear resin will need a lot of time and effort sadly

Does anyone know the best way of fusing acrylic for keychains? Basically I have two pieces of acrylic one with a uv print on it. I’ve tried lasercutting really slowly, Dichloromethane or 3m 468MP tape but they all doesn’t seem to work good enough

Like printing on one side, and then encapsulating it? Other than a triple (or more) embossing clear passes, no. I would suggest running a second UV pass on any embossing unless you like fingerprints though. Anything that can glue the plastic together like solvent is also going to attack the print.

Really need to go to Linux.... Stupid @Windows 11. You @satyanadella ruined it with current #microslop. Transfers from disk to another, yes all SSD, takes so long nowadays. Often minutes of tranfers sitting on 0 bytes/s, then moving in, then again on 0 for a while. 😮‍💨💀

@AzzyDesignWorks @joeltelling Yeah, I've found I can get pretty good top surfaces using tuned flow and single perimeter. Although ASA and PETG-CF are the most "exotic" things I've used so I definitely have plenty to learn.

@AzzyDesignWorks Oooh, that's a test print with some hand-rolled gcode right? I have some pretty strong bets. Got a URL? :-)

I only noticed it with this material (CarbonX PA6GF) and it sounds like its trying to retract on wipe at warp speed. Which I wonder if thats due to the silly long ptfe tube to the drybox and pressure in that line. I'll need to tune it. Thanks for the heads up on that setting. I usually have it going during nylon to get better top surfaces.

@AzzyDesignWorks @joeltelling I could be wrong, but everything I've found points to some firmware bug with that setting for Prusa printers. Interesting bad, or just unique? My C1+ kit isn't silent, but so far I'm aware of all the "regular" noises mine makes and just live with it.

@joeltelling @AzzyDesignWorks Are you using "Avoid crossing perimeters"? Every single time I have it checked, I get layer shifts, without it, perfect.

@M1chl First time I've had it for no reason. I'll check it out, I don't go looking for firmware unless something's wrong.

@AzzyDesignWorks Do you have latest RC firmware? Because they solved issues with layer shifting, I did not have any layer shift since.

@andrewkornuta Less spending overall, but a lot of Amazon re-labelers are gone from the platform, which would give these guys lower sales too. With the added side that their race to the bottom prices and quality to match is seen by the general public.

@digitaldragon72 If its not extrusion based, and the issue is consistent throughout, are the belts tensioned right, and does it make any noise from a bad bearing when moving?

The FlashForge Dreamer has two extruders and hotends mounted side by side. They use plastic housings/levers for the extruder. A single Hobbes gear directly mounted to the motor shaft. I took both apart and checked for clogs and expected to find the dreaded cracked tension arm at the shoulder bolt. Neither extruder was cracked. What would you recommend next?

I have a conflict tonight and will not be streaming. I will leave you all with a puzzle. A FlashForge Dreamer came into the shop with the following issue. "All prints look like fuzzy skin is on." What are your suggestions to check?

Id like to add, that while doing tuning on the C1, its fed perfectly. Also, tuning filament is a giant PITA in @PrusaSlicer. Its either find a file where someone has done the work and tweaked a 3mf on printables (and probably not for your exact setup), or guess. The calibration menu in Orca works so much better.

If it works to feed that big @3dxtech CarbonX spool to the Core One, it works.

It’s bad, but can we talk about the variety of font sizes used?
