I am proud to have rescued Brexit and to have been part of a government that stopped Corbyn.

It is much more complex than that (as I suspect Simon knows). Certainly true re immigration. But partygate and the Mini Budget were key moments. Simon was one of the leading advocates for Liz Truss so he will forgive me if I have some reservations about his strategic judgement
