I can get on board with Frankie here. One thing Berube is really good at is getting the best out of his players. If Bobby McMann is on the wing of John Tavares and Willy Nylander on that second line - I think Bobby will take another step. We saw what he could do last year. My gut feeling is the Leafs keep Nick Robertson and say suck it up, we are playing you and giving you a real spot on this roster and Craig Berube coaches him, helps him and gets the best out of the player.

This team not working out doesn’t have to do with JT as captain. The only shred of happiness leaf fans have felt over the last like 8 years literally came from a John Tavares overtime goal.
