@LesleyRiddoch Seats don’t mean votes. The SNP can scream all they want but enough voters do not care about that screaming. All you can do is try and rewrite those headlines but it will be rightly ignored as propaganda.

@NickyZog You don’t. “We” did not. It is its main mandate and it gets nowhere near the number of votes to even ask for a referendum. As you say it’s a one trick Party without the kind of support to achieve that one trick. No matter how much you try to make out otherwise.

Stop telling us we don't want a referendum on Independence when we repeatedly elect a government, whose main mandate it is elected on, is to have one.

@MikeyTheBuddie Funny how most voters rejected Indie Parties. That’s why you have to put this spin on it.

The unionists hate it, but real Scots voted for Scotland. We didn’t just not vote for England. We rejected the UK. Wales did the same. Northern Ireland are on the same page. It’s time for English independence.

@JimityBlack @KerryBurgess Don’t expect one. No matter how they spin their actual vote share has gone down again. Despite throwing the kitchen sink at it. Now the debate will just get even more toxic.

It's no coincidence that Scotland, the most educated country in Europe, just rejected Reform, Labour and the Conservatives at the ballot box...

@JohnSwinney Why you thanking Scotland? Once again you try to imply SNP voters are Scotland. They most certainly are not. Majority of voters in Scotland once again rejected your divisive agenda.

@theSNP Don’t make us laugh. Your vote share went down. The Indie vote share went down. The percentage voting went down despite you throwing the kitchen sink at it. How to spin another Indie failure.

After nearly two decades in power, the SNP and First Minister John Swinney have secured another landslide victory at the Scottish election - a remarkable achievement in modern democratic politics. You've helped to make history.

@theSNP Not really when you are an Indie Party and are guaranteed all those Indie votes. No other Party has this luxury. Yet you will never gain enough support to actually achieve this fantasy. It’s not a landslide it’s a hollow victory. No watch your promises disappear.

It’s incredible for Unionist parties to decry drops of turnout in elections when in large part it’s the blocking of Scottish democratic wishes that creates such apathy.

Andrew how does Westminster fill the black hole when it has a rather large black hole itself? Do you accept Westminster is largely responsible in creating Scotlands so-called deficit?
Andrew Neil@afneil

Scotland only doesn’t have a deficit because Westminster fills the black hole created by your reckless tax-and-spend polices. On day one of independence you’d need to start funding that deficit yourself: an incredible 12% of your GDP. How would you do it? Issue gilts (or kilts) in groats?

🔥 Reform UK Scotland leader Malcolm Offord trounced by the SNP’s Stuart McMillan by 26 points, ending up in third place. Perhaps talking about his six homes, six boats and five cars isn’t quite the effective messaging he thought it was…
