Udoka is not a defensive genius. Geniuses don’t need 5 defensive specialists on the court to be a good defensive team. Geniuses find solutions and make adjustments to hide players' deficiencies on defense. Especially when you have so many defensive players on the roster. Malone is more of a genius than Ime will EVER be, he was an NBA champion with a center that cannot defend. Kerr was an NBA champion and became a legend with Steph, who was always a bad defender in his prime. MDA found a way to hide Harden in defense and the Rockets were a great team on both sides. OKC had a top-5 defense with Josh Giddey as a starter, man. This is a genius thing. Udoka is a regular NBA coach with a defensive mindset. That’s all. He’s literally regular. Any coach in the NBA with the right athletes as we have, and a mindset, can have a good defense. We don’t need Ime Udoka anymore. We need someone who can play offensive basketball, someone who can look at their own mistakes and don’t throw everything on his players.

@beltwayboyz Horrible comparing Higgins to one of the best rookie years ever and tanks best year. Given the situation around the offense this season Higgins was good and has upside. Even if he doesn’t reach those levels all he has to do is be complimentary. He has the skill and intangibles

It was an ok season. Compare that to tank Dell or BTJ as rookies. And it’s pretty clear how fast you know who is a difference maker or not

Alright last time speaking on the French guy in San Antonio… but the fact that he’s mad he lost in the All-Star game… I am so sick of watching an All-Star game where the stars could care less about the game.

Wanted to wait until more details came out before I spoke… I just don’t understand how anyone can look at a human being get publicly executed like that and think that it’s okay. CJ Stroud earlier today, discussing now being eligible for a contract extension this offseason in Houston:
“It's not in my control. I did what I did on the field the last 3 years & I thought I started off my career in a very great way.. I'm 24, I got a lot of ball left ahead of me. I think I look back, I look at my career & I'm doing a lot of things that-early in my career, a lot of people haven't done in a long time.. So, I'm a firm believer in that & I'm going to just rock with that.. But my job is done now in that light. I can only move forward. But I want to be here as long as I can. I love the city of Houston. I'm crushed, & I don't want to be emotional, but just how hopeful we were to go further.. For it to be on my plate, for me not to step up, it really hurts me. I wish it didn't go that way.. since everyone is so ready to have “REAL CONVERSATIONS” … I think there’s another 1 that need to had Year 1- missed 3gms IR year 2-missed 7 IR year 3-missed 2 year 4-missed 5 IR Year 5-missed 2 + playoff gm there seems to be a pattern here but I can’t put my finger on it
