He said numerous times -and I assume it was in his will as well- that if anything ever happened to him, he wanted Erika to be in charge. She is still in grief and is doing her best. He supported Trump when he made these decisions and stood strongly with him, for him, and with and for the United States of America, even when he was nervous about it. I wouldn't actually doubt Charlie said that, tbqh, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the lead-up to Operation Midnight Hammer, which Charlie was nervous about ON CAMERA for the world and then fully supported Trump in doing and saw as a success afterwards.
