Wow, this means that the satellite images previously seen showing burn marks and damaged aircraft on the tarmac at Prince Sultan didn’t even include the E-3, suggesting that at least one other aircraft, likely a KC-135 Stratotanker, was indeed destroyed in the attack by Iran.

Pictures show the total loss of 81-0005, an E-3G “Sentry” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft with the U.S. Air Force’s 552nd Air Control Wing based out of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, following yesterday’s Iranian ballistic missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The strike appears to have purposefully targeted the most important part of the E-3, that being rear of the aircraft which holds its rotating radar dome, containing several sensitive instruments including antennas for the E-3’s AN/APY-2 Surveillance Radar System.

We use them and they can serve a valuable purpose but we don’t need Cold War era command and control aircraft anymore. They were necessary before AEGIS and satellites. That’s why we only maintained 16 to begin with given how old they are.
But it’s still a success for Iran to be able to take out what was once among our most critical aircraft.

Obviously, Grok does not spontaneously generate images, it does so only according to user requests.
When asked to generate images, it will refuse to produce anything illegal, as the operating principle for Grok is to obey the laws of any given country or state.
