You're also ignoring that France was the actual first occupier and Spanish occupation from 1766 to 1810. By your standards, the UK had no right to occupy them in 1833.

The Expulsion Myth is so, so wrong.
The illegal Argentine garrison, comprised of mutinous soldiers, were expelled by the British commander. Civilian settlers (gauchos, creole) were encouraged to STAY.
Argentine ships supported the claim the British DIDN’T expell civilians.

When it was put to a referendum only 3 people voted not to remain a British territory, 1513 people voted yes.
Meanwhile the Argentine position is that they inherited the 200 year old claims of the Spanish empire and are entitled to a territory that never once belonged to them.
