#designsystem hot take: Design systems distill & magnify healthy practices & patterns while exposing & challenging unhealthy ones. The amount of resistance a healthy DS team experiences is directly related to the unhealthiness of the organization’s established ways of working.

#Config2023 Launch 2: Variables
You can now use variables to make adaptable designs—we’re talking different brand themes, device formats, and more. And yup, variables can be exported as tokens in case that’s helpful 😉.

@AlyssaJoyJaffee Not to mention the interviewer was paid to take the interview.
English

@AlyssaJoyJaffee Being blunt: why should I thank someone for an interview? Chances are I’ve had to do some work for them during the process. Not to mention they may have reached out to me. A thank you has nothing to do with performance or etiquette on the job. Would love your opinion.

@skuwamoto Love this. Dreamweaver was one of the first tools I used to make websites, around the same time I was learning Ps 6. If not for Dw I’m not sure I’d be a designer today.
English

Early in my career, I was part of the Dreamweaver 1.0 team. Launching that product and watching it grow was formative to my career.
Since then, I've worked work on a bunch more 1.0s, (e.g., Medium. Figma), and all of them were informed by that first DW experience.

Happy 25th Birthday Dreamweaver 1.0! In December 1997, Macromedia released the first version of the popular Dreamweaver 1.0 website editor. The editor allowed users to switch between text and WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) mode webdesignmuseum.org/old-software/h… #WebDesignHistory

@alexpage_ Reversing the question. What value would having a token using 0 be? Would you ever want to change that value en mass?
