@LogischDas @RealShahriqKhan Nope, it's most misquoted Quranic verse, read full. It doesn't use previous scriptures as reference books but as a sign that you've to believe those were from same God. It's quite clear if you read complete Quran instead of just one verse without context

Most Muslims or Christians have never caught this, but it’s one of the clearest mix-ups in the Quran. Surah 28:23–27 tells a story about Moses meeting two women at a well, helping water their flocks, and then being offered marriage in exchange for working 8–10 years. Sound familiar? That’s not Moses’s story. That’s Jacob’s story, straight out of Genesis 29. Jacob meets Rachel at a well, helps water her sheep, stays with her father Laban, and works years to marry her.  But in the Quran, that entire arc gets assigned to Moses. Same setup. Same well. Same daughters. Same marriage-for-labor structure. No Laban, Rachel or Leah. Moses becomes the stand-in for Jacob’s entire journey. This isn’t poetic overlap or a creative choice, this is a full narrative transplant. A story pulled from one patriarch and reassigned to another, with no explanation, no context, and no Torah reference. For a book that claims to confirm previous scripture (Surah 2:41, 10:94), that’s not confirmation. That’s confusion. So now you have to ask: Did God forget who He gave the story to? Or was this revelation recycled? Because the Torah lays it out clearly, Jacob, Laban, the years, the deal. But the Quran blends it like it’s interchangeable. If you can’t trust the characters, how can you trust the authority of the Quran?

@Anglo_Sanctus @lilyjayofficial The irony of saying this when secular non Muslims scholars have consensus that saying Muhammed copied someone's else's work is not naturalistically possible and prove Islam is supernatural 🤣🤣 Meanwhile secular scholars on the Bible would be so funny 🤣

My boss's boss is like 42, never married, no kids. Earns $275-300K per year. Goes on a minimum of two international vacations a year w/ his girlfriend. 10+ days, all out. Eats the best food, stays in top notch accomodations. Excursions, tours, nicest beaches, etc. Great guy, I'm happy for him. But what I've realized is that without kids, you end up chasing a lifestyle that has to continually be topped in order for you to be satisfied and find happiness. What he and others like him don't understand is that when you have children, seeing THEM experience life's most basic things and watching their eyes light up at all the "firsts", brings greater pleasure and joy than any vacation or travel experience ever could. Seeing THEM try blueberries for the first time is greater than dining at the best 5 star restaurant in Europe. Seeing THEM learn how to walk is greater than walking the Great Wall of China or strolling along the most picturesque beach. Watching THEM giggle uncontrollably at "peek-a-boo" tops any A-list comedian act. Seeing THEIR excitement when building a fort out of cardboard boxes and making a door big enough for daddy is superior to staying at 5-star resorts. Flying kites with THEM far outweighs excursions like parasailing or helicopter rides. Seeing THEM perform a recital on stage for the first time is more rewarding than watching a Broadway show or top notch symphony orchestra. ----------------- When you have children, all of a sudden you realize that life's greatest joys are not in the pursuit of things or pleasure or travel, but rather in the LOVE and bond you share with your very own image bearers. Seeing the beauty and magnificence and wonder of life all over again for the first time through THEIR eyes and expressions gives you something the world simply cannot offer, nor even come close.

@Timodc @SeanTrende Trumpism isn’t a thing that can be beaten back or beaten by ideological opposition. I follow Sean. And Jonah. And Tim. I repost Sean and Jonah when they oppose Trumpism for reasons of conserving conservatism. I repost Tim because he’s thrusting at the jugular of Trumpism.

I would argue that a fundamentally bad person who tried to overthrow our democratic system and is running the biggest corruption racket in the history of the presidency should be opposed on all counts not just “when appropriate.” So call me a Nicene Creed Never Trumper i guess.
Sean T at RCP@SeanTrende

@charlescwcooke The difference between the Bulwark and the Dispatch I think is this: The Dispatch treats Trump as a bad president who should be opposed when appropriate. The Bulwark treats him as the Satan of a Catholic Baptism, where you're morally bound to reject all his works and promises.

Absurd how toxic NFL Draft twitter is. Guys who claim to watch college tape year-around are not hyped about this pick and shaming those who are. And yet the coach who turned around a dogshit franchise in year 1 was reportedly visibly hyped about this player.
Jacob Infante@jacobinfante24

Guys who had no idea who Zavion Thomas was 5 minutes ago are gonna hype up this pick But as someone who actually watches the college tape year-round, it’s tough for me to get hyped about this pick

@Magnum1ooo @MegRemSoftball It was intentional, but she was looking at the ump to see if he made the correct call, which he did.

@MegRemSoftball If this were UNintentional, the catcher would've immediately checked on the batter to see if she was okay. Also, the first thing a guilty person does is look at the authority figure…

There is a right way to play this game and a wrong way and this is 100% in the wrong. I don’t care that the batter moved back out of the box- you don’t intentionally step back to throw at her head, as hard as you can, from about a foot away. I don’t want to hear “you don’t know it wasn’t intentional.” Save it. The runner at 3rd is about a half step off 3rd. The way the catcher is positioned to throw, that throw is going towards the 3rd base fence. The most telling part though? No one checks on that batter and catcher gets a high five right after from her coach. The batter ended up with a concussion. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in this sport.

Do you think if children were told that they were eating a baby cow or a baby pig for dinner, that they would be happy about it and continue eating it as if nothing happened? No. I can guarantee you that if kids knew where their food comes from, they would be upset that they’re eating a dead animal.
