Clearly the Electoral college system is dodgy. Just look at what they did in Virginia. Some states apportion their electoral vote pro-rata along the lines of their state voted, some give all their votes to the most popular in the state, ignoring the will of their minority voters. Totally inconsistent. Now Virginia seemingly unilaterally disenfranchised all its voters. Make it make sense. Surely a direct one citizen equals one vote is simpler and fair. You have the Senate to protect State rights, that issue is addressed there.
