I remember watching the first man on the moon landing some 50years ago which was very exciting as this new mission is. Can anyone tell me why it is that they are not actually going to land on the moon but circle round it. It’s not a criticism I’m just interested to know why they are not actually going to land on the moon.

If schedule holds, these 3 giant rockets will launch in the next 3 weeks. From left to right: New Glenn - satellite launch now, planned for the Moon Starship - test flight 12 now, planned for the Moon Artemis - to the Moon and back with 4 crew aboard Pushing the very edge of our capability as we learn how to more safely & cheaply reach space, to explore all that exists beyond. @nasa @SpaceX @blueorigin

Restore Britain is now the fourth largest political party in the country. We officially registered as a political party ten days ago. Proper progress.

Another massive battery storage record in California (CAISO) yesterday, March 29 🔋 At 7pm, batteries reached 12.3 GW of output, meeting 42.8% of demand! And it's not just a short peak anymore. Batteries stayed above 20% of grid supply from 5.50pm to 9.35pm, almost four hours.

Israel has pushed ground forces into multiple areas of southern Lebanon They've displaced huge numbers of civilians... Yet it barely registers internationally. Russia did the same in Ukraine and the world responded with sanctions, outrage and coordinated pressure The double standards are UNFORGIVABLE.

@jwcrawley @DaleVince It's not just a slogan, it's a fact. The state does have a plan, that they are implementing. Do you complain about every business owner who advocates for things in their interests?

@HeeksTom @DaleVince That’s just a slogan. It involves the state directly intervening and having a long term plan with an actual aim of energy security and resilience. That’s a million miles from what’s happening now and what the self interested Dale Vince is proposing.

I’ve been saying two things in response to the fossil fools calling for more drilling in the North Sea - both are cutting through. First is we don't set the price of our own North Sea oil and gas, second is we have very little left, around 10%. More drilling can't help us with this energy (price) crisis and the idea of some kind of oil self sufficiency for Britain is a fantasy. Now comes this revelation - the hundreds of licences the Tories issued, over a 14 year period, in pursuit of this fantasy - resulted in just one months worth of gas being produced. The reality is starkly different to the fantasy Farage and Badenoch would have us believe. theguardian.com/business/2026/…

@DaleVince Everyone in the UK now knows this. Except right wing politicians, for some reason they still don’t get it, wonder why🤔

@DaleVince This is the neoliberal trap, arguing over volumes while ignoring control. Real energy security means the state sets terms: storage, supply obligations, and firm capacity. Markets alone won’t deliver that.

@onetruefraggle @nxt888 Of course I agree. And we all laugh at how dumb the Domino Theory was, but it was kind of right. Go read about how the Khmer came to power and then genocided half the country. Russians and Chinese were centrally involved.

General William Westmoreland, the American commander in Vietnam, said that Asians do not value human life the way Westerners do. He said this to explain why Vietnamese soldiers kept fighting despite losses that would have broken Western armies. He did not say: perhaps they are fighting for something worth dying for. He did not say: perhaps our intelligence about their will to fight was wrong. He did not say: perhaps we have fundamentally misunderstood this enemy. He said: they don't value life. This is what happens when an army built on the premise of its own civilizational superiority meets a people who simply refuse to accept that premise. The army cannot update its model. It cannot say "we were wrong about who these people are." So it invents a theory where the enemy's resistance is not a sign of strength but a sign of deficiency. They keep fighting because life is cheap to them. Not because their cause is just. Not because they are brave. Because they are less than us. Westmoreland ran the war for years on this theory. He lost. The Vietnamese people, who apparently did not value life, built a country that is alive and growing and free. Westmoreland died in 2005. The people he could not understand are still here. So is the theory.

@HedgehogCabin @boatno9 replenish all elements you took away in products. It can not. Naive people like you spread nonsense about "artificial" fertilizers, many if them are of natural provenience like phosphorus made of bird shit, etc. And we fertilize SOIL, not plants, just nitrogen is for them.

Today's ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I'll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women.

@eevblog @QBCCIntegrity In most places the generation side of the power grid is fine, but the transformers at the neighborhood-level were never sized for every home to have one or two EV fast chargers going in every home.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION: 1) You can fuel your car for 5 years at $4/Litre for the cost of a cheap EV 2) EV inventories across the country have sold out this week. 3) Our power grid has ZERO CHANCE of keeping the vehicles charged and the lights on. This is a forced transition

My first attempt at propaganda. What do you think? 🐝 I was inspired after spending my work breaks today making new bee houses. Hollow sticks = great for mason bees. We had Red Mason Bees & Orange-vented Mason Bees last year. Pots of clay = designed for the Hairy-footed Flower Bees that naturally nest in clay-rich soil banks. I hope they approve! 🤞
