Economically, South Africa ranks no1 while Ghana is no8. The Rand is stronger than the Cedi, and Ghana is far behind Kenya, Ethiopia, talmbout South Africa in terms of anything you can mention. We can argue that South Africa’s progress was established by whites, notwithstanding, Ghana also had whites administrators during independence, but Nkrumah dismissed them, believing that Africans could manage their own economy. The outcomes of those different choices remain evident today

No economically sound person should be migrating from Ghana 🇬🇭 to South Africa 🇿🇦 for greener pastures. Most people don’t even know our Ghanaian Cedis has always been stronger than the Rands for years now.

@vlawrence_00 @Qlyv_Mydear @HSHRAW only 60k people went into exile from 1960 to 1990, that means 99% stayed and fought for their freedom. The state of emergency declared in 1985 and 1996 was because the remaining ppl made the government to be ungovernable. Stop blackmailing us.

When other stations were out of range, SA kept the Artemis II astronauts talking to Mission Control. SA National Space Agency (SANSA) played a critical role in NASA’s Artemis II mission! Our Hartebeesthoek Ground Station provided vital tracking and telemetry as the Orion spacecraft looped the Moon—keeping humanity’s first lunar crew in over 50 years connected to Earth. Our specialized antennas and "hydrogen maser" atomic clocks, provided the extreme accuracy needed for Doppler measurements. 🌕👨‍🚀

The stats show that about 80% of load shedding in the entire history of @Eskom_SA happened between 2020 to 2023. As @Eskom_SA approaches 330 days of no load shedding its worth reflecting that the causes of this crisis were more ideological than technical. South Africa was advised to abandon base-load coal to imitate mainly the German Energy Transition, the EnergieWende. Under EnergieWende, Germany spent trillions dismantling baseload nuclear and coal and attempting to replace them with solar and wind. After >20 years of trying, the German leaders are now admitting that the dismantling of baseload nuclear and coal was a 'huge strategic mistake'. In South Africa, the abandonment of coal without the appropriate dispatchable replacement remains the greatest risk for energy security.

A borderless Africa sounds powerful—but without strong systems, it’s a recipe for instability. It would make it easier for armed groups to move freely, drive mass & chaotic migration towards stronger economies, overwhelm jobs, housing & healthcare & accelerate brain drain from smaller states. With huge economic gaps & other obvious vulnerabilities, the result wouldn’t be unity—it would be disorder. Integration must be earned, built & managed—not rushed.

Tonight, we returned to a building owned by foreign national George Asaba. We made a commitment that we will not stop our targeted approach of dealing with his questionable business practices. He steals water and electricity from the city. Tonight, we arrested several illegal immigrants from Mozambique that we found working on site. @CityTshwane

Our teams are working hard to find every illegal electricity and water connection at the Asaba buildings. One by one

The unity the rest of Africa wants from South Africa is simply the exploitation of South Africa's functional economy and efficient systems. Countries like Nigeria, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique, DRC, and Zimbabwe get more than they give to South Africa. That is an unhealthy relationship in the name of Pan-Africanism. The truth is, South Africa owes no one anything.
Omuntu@omuntuvensor

This is how South Africans see themselves Lol. Dear S. Africans, we are brothers and sisters. You're Africans.

Tehran’s terrorist regime is losing its grip on silencing their own people, so they are looking for support from weak partners abroad. It’s disgusting to see South African officials standing alongside these terrorists while the regime kills thousands of its own people.
