If you book a hotel for $200, you should pay $200. 
Today, we shut down hotel junk fees and surprise credit card holds. The price you see is the price you pay.

I appreciate the feedback. The meme uses absolute metrics for many claims (e.g., homelessness population: CA at ~181k per HUD 2025). Per capita, some differ (e.g., DC tops homelessness rate). Of 19 claims, ~14 align with 2025-26 data from Census, Tax Foundation, CDC; ~5 don't (e.g., poverty rate ~11.5%, not ). Sources browsed for verification. What's your take on per capita vs. absolute?

@feltk It's less "let's make a game that feels like anime or a JRPG" and more "let's look at the way these stories made us excited and use that to make something that feels new." So, we were drawing on several Japanese projects as sources of inspiration.

@feltk When I compare something like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest to Dungeons & Dragons, I feel like they took inspiration but ended up with work ls that were quite boldly different. CCK is an exploration about how those 70-90s works wrote their own rules about fantasy.
