For the last time today, the thing that’s whizzing through our solar system at the moment is a comet from another solar system - the third we have detected in the last 8 years. We are detecting them now because we have better telescopes. It’s really cool, because it will allow us to study ancient material from systems beyond our own. Here's a thing "Asset rich but cash poor" was a term used a lot yesterday referencing the Farmer's demo against inheritance tax. Reminded me it's also used to describe elderly home owners, whose families are obliged to sell the family home to pay for the care of ageing parents.

In 1988, Tara Calico mysteriously vanished while biking along a New Mexico road. @imajez1 @fesshole 100% this. The best way to tackle it is to ‘project manage’ without actually telling them. Watch closely and check every stage. Most (though definitely not all) builders and tradesmen are a nightmare, and that can sometimes include the ones who come recommended.

@fesshole If you don't constantly watch what too many builders/tradesmen are doing, they make decisions for you and make all sorts of mistakes/cut corners. So I may as well do some things myself, if I'm going to have spend my time to monitoring so called professionals doing the work.

Builder here. If you phone me up and say you'll be project manager on the job, you've instantly lost most builders. You know nothing about it, but have randomly decided you're going to interfere and tell us how to do said job.

My wife is a data scientist and said I wasn't walking the dog enough and that she was doing most of them. Went through 12 months of our Strava stats and provided evidence that I was responsible for 60% of his walks. She threw a tantrum. Hasn't spoken to me in a week. I win.

Some women aren’t able to produce enough milk to support a baby, and some produce more than enough to go around. Times have changed and pressures have increased. Dual feeding is fine, but so is stopping.

Really upsetting letter in @guardian today by a campaigner who stood on the street with a 'small white coffin' to promote breastfeeding. I'm on the brink of giving up pumping as I don't have time for a life/run/shower. Letter gave me such guilt though and made me cry.

@DaveB22664400 @verdiKat @bmay …sometimes psychologically bullying someone just as bad, if not worse. I’m glad you stood up for yourself. Sometimes all it takes is a look for another person to know your strength.

@Ready2Assist @verdiKat @bmay Problem in the 70s was that they were legally allowed to physically abuse children. One once held a chair up threatening to hit me with it - I looked at him considering how best to hit HIM at that point and maybe he saw that in me because he then backed down.

I am sad to report that this man’s brief tenure as an Education Minister has already come to an end. 😢
