Kyle Dubas took over the NHL's biggest mess in 2023 in Pittsburgh. Oldest team, little cap, little picks, no prospects. Now they are in a playoff spot with most picks of any team next 3 years, tons of cap, drafted one of the best rookies last summer and prospect pool is far better. Now he's frontrunner for GM of the year.

There would have to be draft picks or prospects included with Nichushkin to make this work for Calgary.
And I think the idea would be to flip Nichushkin in another deal.
If the #Flames were planning on keeping Nichushkin long term then I don’t think it makes any sense.

And you don't even have to be *that* technical to do it. Just high agency.
There are probably millions of people out there who see all of the latest AI innovations like Claude Cowork, want to take advantage of them, but have no idea how to actually do that.
I know, because I'm one of those people...
I had dinner last night with the CEO of a multi-billion dollar tech startup. He was telling me about the full digital assistant/employee he just hacked together over the weekend. All of the things it's doing, how it's been an unlock for his workflows and life.
I told him I'd gladly pay him $5000 to come to my house and spend the day building me one using the same approach.
He laughed that he'd happily do that (though obviously won't given his day job).
There's a real, high cash flow opportunity for a hustler to launch a services business as an AI Concierge for the tech curious.
Ideally they would physically show up and build out a tool (or suite) to help an individual leverage the latest for their business and life.
I bet you could charge $5-10k for the initial upfront work and then some low ongoing service fee to keep the thing up to date (if the person wants that and needs help with it).
5-10 clients per month and you have a meaningful cash flow engine.
All comes down to the quality of what you deliver long term, but my guess is people would see a Month 1 positive ROI on the investment and referrals to their friends would drive the entire business.

@signulll My concern is that "em-dash means AI" will get so embedded in the culture that people--like me--who use the em-dash a lot will get accused of using AI when we don't.
I'd propose a solution where the use of em-dash is limited to the same frequency found in the training corpus.

I’m not against polyamory, but I think it’s often co-opted to avoid:
-the pain of a breakup
-disagreements/repair conversations
-making a commitment decision
-being fully seen and known
-the boredom or numbness of repressed emotion

Polyamory vs monogamy discourse summed up, from my perspective: - Polyamorous ideology threatens the stability of monogamous relationship structures just by nature of existence, so people react angrily to protect their relationships that might otherwise fall apart without this scaffolding. - Polyamorous people want recognition for their lifestyle from monogamous people and are often reactionary and disingenuous in their messaging (as are monogamous people). - Both relationship styles are embedded in a complex network of ideas and relationships, which affects the stability of any relationship style. - Polyamorous people tend to have good understandings of relationships, and most of the problems with it come from poor ideological/cultural scaffolding, where obviously people act poorly as they onboard protocols. As for me, I think I would be fine with monogamy with a partner, as I don’t really want more than 1 nesting partner, and can find romance in sacrificial union. However, I am also not really interested in a connection that couldn’t amicably survive an affair. -B
