@CBSNews Pretty sure daycare is not one of the enumerated powers of the federal government.

President Trump said he told White House budget director Russell Vought, "'Don't send any money for day care,' because the United States can't take care of day care."
"We’re fighting wars. We can’t take care of day care," Trump said Wednesday while speaking at a White House Easter lunch. He went on to say that the states should "take care of day care, and they should pay for it, too," by raising their taxes.
"We have to take care of one thing, military protection," Trump added. "We have to guard the country."

@CAgovernor Audit Records, Indictments Show $180 Billion ‘Empire of Fraud’ In California: Report dailywire.com/news/audit-rec…
English

The Trump Administration — home to the biggest fraudsters on Earth — is trying to blame California for issues with THEIR federal programs.
Glad to see the Feds finally taking seriously the fraud in the programs they themselves manage...only 15 months after Trump took office.
JD Vance@JDVance
Our task force isn’t wasting any time cracking down on fraud. This morning in the LA area, federal law enforcement is taking down fraudsters who stole $50M+ from Americans by defrauding our healthcare and hospice systems. Thanks to @DrOzCMS and @USAttyEssayli for their work.
English

@CAgovernor Uh…no. The programs are managed by the states with funding from the feds.

@MattWalshBlog So how “have things gone?” Iran‘s ability to enrich uranium mostly decimated, nuclear capability reduced by at least 75%, terrorist regime severely weakened, and barbaric leadership eliminated.
English

Some of us expressed great concern about the Iran War when it was first launched. We were shouted down and condemned as “panicans” and “blackpillers” and even Islamist sympathizers. But it’s pretty clear from how things have gone that our concerns were absolutely reasonable and legitimate. Maybe Trump will get us out of this thing soon and it still won’t spiral into a long and drawn out war. But even if that happens — and I’m not convinced it will — no thoughtful person can deny at this point that the spiral and long war scenario is very much a possibility. No reasonable person, at this stage, can say that our concerns were irrational. What looks irrational now — and always did — is the demand for blind allegiance and unthinking “trust” in our elected leaders, as though we are called to have faith in politicians like we have faith in God.

@NickMinock @GovernorVA Spanberger’s disdain for law enforcement and victims of violence is inexcusable.
English

Today, Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger was in Culpeper where police recently arrested an illegal immigrant they say was preying on little girls.
I asked Spanberger what’s her message to children who are harmed by illegal immigrants and to Stephanie Minter’s family. Stephanie was stabbed to death at a Fairfax County bus stop. ⬇️

@ABC It’s called absentee voting. He was absent. The issue is people sitting at home receiving double ballots and requesting absentee ballots when they’re not absent.

President Trump explained why he voted by mail in the special election in Florida this past Tuesday. The election was for the statehouse district that included his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Trump has spoken critically about voting by mail for years.

@BrandonStraka @mywitsendalso With all due respect, few people were waiting in DC airports last weekend. Security lines at both Dulles & Reagan airports were short. I waited about six minutes.

@flyonsweetangel @tmarkovski @Breaking911 Managed by the states, but mostly financed by the federal government.
English

@tmarkovski @Breaking911 If you have worked for a state in the social services area, you would not make such a ridiculous statement. The states are the ones that handle ALL these programs. From childcare to Medicaid to EBT the states handle. State politicians played a role in decisions

@LisaEberle5 @courtneyellis Yes! 75,000 family physicians in the U.S. quit between 2020-2022. The burn out is real!
English

@RightAngleQC @courtneyellis That’s exactly why my family Dr of 30 years became Concierge. She struggled with the decision. She missed being able to provide the time and the proper care she felt her patients deserved and still be able to make a living. It’s truly a trade off for Dr’s - it’s not $ it’s time.
English

@courtneyellis The average employer pays $15-19K/year for employee health insurance. A landscaping company in my community is paying the direct primary monthly fees for each employee. However, employees will still need some type of catastrophic policy.
English

@courtneyellis Direct Primary Care is different than concierge because they don’t deal w/insurance companies. At $50-150/month, it’s also cheaper. They can fill in the gaps for people without health insurance. They negotiate directly w/pharmacies & labs to get super cheap rates.
English

@JESSNiCHOLE88 @courtneyellis Me too! Direct Primary Care is cheaper than concierge care $50-150/mo. Unlike concierge, Direct Primary Care doctors don’t deal with insurance companies and they get good rates with the labs and pharmacies. Love our guy!
English

@courtneyellis We use a concierge (direct primary care) practice! LOVE IT! We pay probably 5k a year for a family of six, labs, all visits included! Incredible care.
English

@MoreOrLessAMess @courtneyellis Our regular health insurance covers the specialists, hospitalizations, etc.
English

@courtneyellis To me, concierge medicine is only a great idea if you live under the delusion you'll never develop a major medical issue that requires more care than the group you're paying can provide.

@OleBeeM @MattWalshBlog Gay, transgender, furry obsessed dude is the exact opposite of a militant.
English

@MattWalshBlog The fact is that Charlie Kirk was murdered by a white man militant. And that’s far from the only act of brutal violence by a white man even just over the past year.
In response, there hasn’t been any kind of crackdown on white men extremists.
The whole thing is enraging.
English

The fact is that Charlie Kirk was murdered by a left wing militant. And that’s far from the only act of brutal violence by a leftist even just over the past year.
In response, there hasn’t been any kind of major nationwide crackdown on leftist extremists and the organizations that fund and encourage them.
There hasn’t been any concerted response of any kind. It just hasn’t happened.
But don’t worry: Democrats will take power and do to us exactly what we didn’t have the focus or fortitude to do to them.
The whole thing is enraging.
