We highlighted how Michigan abuses their cap-exempt status to hire foreigners...
So who doesn't hire H-1B? Top 20, ranked by undergrad enrollment.
You have to give it to the Mormons, they hire American.

Nick Plumb@PlumbNick
@LayoffAI @TS_PRERICH Can we get a list of universities who don’t employ H-1Bs?

@texasrunnerDFW I have come to believe that state and local funding is best accomplished through a combination of sales, income, and property taxes. Overly focusing on one of those magnifies one set of disadvantages. The key is to keep them all limited.
English

@LeaderJohnThune @POTUS Nuke the zombie filibuster and PASS THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.
English

Sat down with @POTUS’ nominee to be the next chairman of the Federal Reserve. Kevin Warsh is a great pick, and the Senate will work to move his confirmation quickly.

@DiscussingFilm Trailer actually looks really good, but I'm sure Netflix will make the show woke within the first 10 minutes.

The only gun free zones there should be are the following:
1) Courthouses *
2) Prisons *
3) Criminal psych facilities *
* All must have security screening for every entry, lockboxes for defensive guns of visitors, and AMPLE armed security to defend against even terrorist attacks.
* All assume liability for criminal injury and by assuming the duty to protect all [disarmed] individuals on sight.
What do you think?
English

@Flagstaffmama64 @TheLaurenChen Sounds like you're the parent
English

@TheLaurenChen I babysit 5 days a week 7:30-4 for my 6 month old granddaughter and we take our 2 1/2 year old grandson every Sunday for adventure day. I truly doubt this is the reason.
English

Boomers don't want to hear this, but one of the (many) reasons why my generation isn't having as many kids?
A lot of millennials feel they can't depend on their parents for help the way they saw their own grandparents pitch in when they were growing up

@kamikazecash @bluewmist SmartWool apparel no longer is a great value, but their socks remain the best.
English

@bluewmist Darn Tough socks.
They’re $20/pair but they’re excellent and have a lifetime warranty. They’re the first thing you should buy when you can afford it.

@AAGDhillon @TheJusticeDept @CivilRights We need bad faith penalties for states that pass these blatantly unconstitutional restrictions. Right now, we have to go through the courts and overturn the laws two years later. Then the states just go ahead and pass another unconstitutional law, and the cycle repeats itself.
English

Every day, @TheJusticeDept is making clear: no state— Virginia included— may infringe on Americans’ Second Amendment rights.
@CivilRights is hiring attorneys committed to defending the right to bear arms. There’s a lot of work to do!
English

@gunrights We need bad faith penalties for legislators who pass these clearly unconstitutional laws.
English

They are coming for your guns. No grandfather clause, no exception, simple confiscation. Anyone paying attention saw this coming.
What started as a ban on sales quickly morphed into a push to outlaw possession as well.
The Rhode Island House introduced H8073 as a follow-up to last year’s legislation, which prohibited the sale of so-called “assault weapons” while allowing existing owners to keep theirs.
Now lawmakers are moving to force owners to surrender them or face felony charges.
Check the post below, tell Rhode Island legislators NO GUN CONFISCATION!

English

@NotSure010101 @Hitchslap1 Still probably the best movie of the 2020s
English

@Hitchslap1 I agree. Oppenheimer is an exception although I felt a couple of scenes were included simply to include more sexual content.
English

@AAGDhillon @CivilRights @AGPamBondi There need to be bad faith penalties for passing clearly unconstitutional laws.
English

The @CivilRights has gone to court to oppose such restrictions. I personally argued for the US to challenge Illinois’ so-called “assault weapons” ban, which bans popular & constitutionally protected semi-auto rifles & more. As @AGPamBondi says, 2A isn’t a second-class right!
Jonathan Turley@JonathanTurley
Across the country, Democrats are moving to ban some semiautomatic rifles as well as large magazines. The most extreme legislation may be in Minnesota, which could not only ban sales but also require current owners to agree to home inspections. jonathanturley.org/2026/03/11/min…
English

Democrats have opted to play politics with critical functions like cybersecurity, Border Patrol, and TSA, whose sole mission is to protect Americans every day.
End the shutdown. Reopen @DHSgov.

@TechLayoffLover What should someone study in university (tech school) to have a chance at a decent-paying career?
English

A CS professor at a mid-tier state university just sent me their internal placement data
Fall 2023: 89% of their graduates had offers by graduation. Average starting salary $94k
Spring 2024: 71% placement rate. Average dropped to $78k
Fall 2024: 43% placement rate. Those who got offers averaged $61k
Spring 2025: 31% of graduates employed in software roles six months out
This semester? 19% placement rate and falling
Faculty meeting last Tuesday got heated when the department chair suggested "pivoting curriculum toward AI collaboration skills"
One professor stood up and said "we're teaching students to build the systems that eliminate their own jobs"
The career fair last month had 12 companies show up. Half were MLMs and insurance sales
Students keep asking why they're learning data structures when the job postings all say "3+ years experience with LLM integration"
Professor told me the hardest part is the parent meetings
"My daughter took out $140k in loans for this degree and she's working at Starbucks"
Meanwhile the university is still running ads promising "94% job placement rates in high-growth tech careers"
The disconnect is crushing everyone involved
Faculty knows the industry has fundamentally shifted but the marketing department is still selling the 2019 dream
These kids mortgaged their futures for careers that evaporated while they were in class
English

@ScottPresler Thanks, Scott, for your hard work on this issue. Nothing else matters right now besides the SAVE America Act.
