Using a direct measure of CAC density, unexpected finding of ⬆️ Lp(a) associated with **greater** CAC density progression over 5 yrs after adjusting for traditional risk factors in @masala_study ⬆️ CAC density was a protective factor in prior studies @hsbhatia @UCSD_CVD

Muscle size might not be as important as muscle quality (measured by CT scan as muscle density). Associations of muscle quality with mortality risk were stronger for men, but the same patterns were present for men and women. @UnkartMD @BrittaLarsen doi.org/10.1016/j.meta…
