@michaelshermer I don't know about you but I don't want to live in a society where if I happen to be in the same place as a VIP, I'm harassed, searched and have my 4th amendment rights violated. This is the price of living in freedom.

@CollinRugg He seems like a really smart, thoughtful person and that's why I believe that this is the fault of the media. They have convinced someone, who may have been just a little "off" that Trump is an existential threat and then they play shocked when this happens.

@MoniFunGirl Yet the same media will tell you that the greatest threat is white supremacy and that the right is more violent then the left. Then we find out the SPLC helped finance the Charlottesville march.

In my opinion the media is responsible for this assassination attempt, as well as the previous two. The media and Democrats have convinced their voters that Trump is Hitler so this violence is justified. 60 Minutes here, CBS should be ashamed for this.

I am 60 years old and have lived virtually my entire life in the American South. I have never to my knowledge met a single member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is a ghost kept alive by millions of dollars in funding by the Southern Poverty Law Center to keep us divided.

One thing I’m proud of as I have aged and grown in my faith is a capacity to forgive as Christ teaches us. I have also learned that hating someone daily is like drinking poison and only hurts me. Things in life really play out as they should and I choose to live in light.

@wrong_speak I just posted arguments against his idea so I'm not defending it but I think you're conflating ideas here. He's not asking for a government take over of AI, he's under the (horribly wrong) belief that AI (not just his) will be so wildly successful that it will be able to fund UBI

Remember, Elon lost his shit about how high our federal debt was. He was a madman about cutting spending. But when it benefits his AI pet project, suddenly he's all for AI Communism. I mean, that's what this is. If no one has a job, how does the government have tax money?

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

NEW: Man who identified himself as ‘Harry Dresden’ in the viral Ring doorbell footage, seen breaking into the home in footage from inside the house. The resident was seen threatening to hit the intruder with a shovel. The intruder has been identified as Jason Thomas Nichols, according to Solano County records. He is facing four felony charges and his bail was set at $35,000.
