Why is the second amendment so neglected and treated with distain by so many of our fellow citizens? If you’re one of them, read my blog in its’ defense. I welcome your feedback, both positive and negative. basildavetest.blogspot.com/2018/02/arguin…

@michaelshermer I don't know about you but I don't want to live in a society where if I happen to be in the same place as a VIP, I'm harassed, searched and have my 4th amendment rights violated. This is the price of living in freedom.

Shooter manifestos can be illuminating: "I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat. The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before. Like, this level of incompetence is insane, and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets actually competent leadership again. Like, if I was an Iranian agent, instead of an American citizen, I could have brought a damn Ma Deuce [Browning M2 .50-caliber heavy machine gun] in here and no one would have noticed shit."

@CollinRugg He seems like a really smart, thoughtful person and that's why I believe that this is the fault of the media. They have convinced someone, who may have been just a little "off" that Trump is an existential threat and then they play shocked when this happens.

NEW: The manifesto for alleged White House Correspondents’ Dinner gunman Cole Allen has been released. In the manifesto, Allen mocked Secret Service for being "incompetent" and for the poor security at the hotel. Here is the manifesto, in part, per the New York Post: "Hello everybody! So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today. Let me start off by apologizing to everyone whose trust I abused. ... On to why I did any of this: I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes. ... Administration officials (not including Mr. Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest Secret Service: they are targets only if necessary, and to be incapacitated non-lethally if possible (aka, I hope they’re wearing body armor because center mass with shotguns messes up people who *aren’t* Hotel Security: not targets if at all possible (aka unless they shoot at me) ... Rebuttals to objections: Objection 1: As a Christian, you should turn the other cheek. Rebuttal: Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed. I’m not the person raped in a detention camp. I’m not the fisherman executed without trial. I’m not a schoolkid blown up or a child starved or a teenage girl abused by the many criminals in this administration. ... Thank you all for everything. Sincerely, Cole “coldForce” “Friendly Federal Assassin” Allen PS: Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? Sorry, gonna rant a bit here and drop the formal tone. Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo. What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing. No damn security. Not in transport. Not in the hotel. Not in the event. Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance. I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat. The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before. ... Video: @AsraNomani

@MoniFunGirl Yet the same media will tell you that the greatest threat is white supremacy and that the right is more violent then the left. Then we find out the SPLC helped finance the Charlottesville march.

In my opinion the media is responsible for this assassination attempt, as well as the previous two. The media and Democrats have convinced their voters that Trump is Hitler so this violence is justified. 60 Minutes here, CBS should be ashamed for this.

@DavidShafer … he told us that he and his buddies got into the back of a pickup with baseball bats and looked for black guys to beat up. I was stunned and sickened, why would anyone want to do that? That’s when I realized the difference between North and South.

@DavidShafer In 1982, my family took a trip to Jekyll Island, GA, my step brother and I (both 15-16) met this kid from GA. He seemed cool, we were both on the wrestling team in school… he asked us what we did for fun and we told him we cruised a local college trying to meet girls…

I am 60 years old and have lived virtually my entire life in the American South. I have never to my knowledge met a single member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is a ghost kept alive by millions of dollars in funding by the Southern Poverty Law Center to keep us divided.

@elonmusk I don't celebrate the death of anyone. These guys are soldiers, not evil. Forced to participate in an evil war they have no choice in. Putin is using them as cannon fodder, whether they know it or not. When the families of these men look back on this, who will they blame?

@MeghanMcCain I think the saying is that hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die... but yes, you've got it and I've seen people be exceptionally cruel to you and the memory of your father. Forgiving them is the one thing that can set you free.

One thing I’m proud of as I have aged and grown in my faith is a capacity to forgive as Christ teaches us. I have also learned that hating someone daily is like drinking poison and only hurts me. Things in life really play out as they should and I choose to live in light.

@data_republican No, do we really want to kill blue collar mariners who are probably paid shit just feeding their families? If they disobey the people telling them to just run the blockade they or their families may be punished.

@wrong_speak I just posted arguments against his idea so I'm not defending it but I think you're conflating ideas here. He's not asking for a government take over of AI, he's under the (horribly wrong) belief that AI (not just his) will be so wildly successful that it will be able to fund UBI

Remember, Elon lost his shit about how high our federal debt was. He was a madman about cutting spending. But when it benefits his AI pet project, suddenly he's all for AI Communism. I mean, that's what this is. If no one has a job, how does the government have tax money?

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@elonmusk The problem is that you are looking at this from the perspective of a productive person who would think "I've got free time and money, I can go do something constructive"... you don't understand human nature.

Gunman on the loose with mental health issues, in my neighborhood I just walked in a while ago. Why do I carry and train? This is why … I was just walking here! LEWISTON Maine — City schools and hospitals locked down on Thursday after it was reported that an armed and emotionally disturbed man had made threatening remarks. Auburn had been searching for the 34-year-old since early Thursday morning after he reportedly armed himself and made “seriously threatening remarks” just hours before he was scheduled to go to a Lewiston hospital for help with a drug problem. Police urge residents to steer away from College street, Russell street … where I was just walking. 😯

@JonathanTurley This definitely goes into the "credit where credit is due" column and I'm glad it happened. Now if the liberal justices would just read the constitution and abide by it, we'd be all set...🤔
