For people from the US seeing this - yes, Toronto has a semi-pro baseball team called the Maple Leafs that is the same name as the city’s semi-pro hockey team.

This is an out. The ball never hit the ground. Unless there is a rule that says you cannot use your jersey to secure the ball, there is no possible explanation for this to be ruled a hit.
