@mattpocockuk noticed this as well. I guess most don't even know the most basic stuff about LLMs, so they just assume that because using LLMs is similar to using Google, they can assume the same trustworthiness.
And most people have been trusting Google for research for a long time by now.

@levelsio @TimHaldorsson the sad thing is that many crypto/ai bros completely miss the point of building stuff.
instead of solving some problem they just build something something CRYPTO AI to get rich quick. not the best way to get a good reputation.

@TimHaldorsson What Portugal needs is less crypto grifters and more actual entrepreneurship

The Next.js Adapter API is now stable - the result of over a year of collaboration with Netlify, OpenNext, and other platform partners.
We are deeply committed to developers running Next.js on Cloudflare. Looking forward to building our official adapter on this new foundation.

Next.js 16.2 introduces a stable Adapter API, built with Netlify, Cloudflare, OpenNext, AWS, and Google Cloud. But the API is only part of the story. Next.js is used by millions of developers across every major cloud, and making it work well everywhere is on us. Here are our commitments. nextjs.org/nextjs-across-…

@joedevon @levelsio @Scobleizer @nikitabier sounds needlessly overcomplicated. obviously the 2 degree reply limit is not perfect, but usually the simplest solution is also the best.
English

There was a tiff between @levelsio and @Scobleizer over a change to the X algo by @nikitabier where you limit replies to 2 degrees: people you follow and people they follow.
There’s a better solution but it also exposes a flaw in Nikita’s plan.
Twitter is not a curated friend group. Some people follow back all followers. Some have strategies like Scoble who follows 40k people, but it’s curated. You cannot follow 40k people without some AI.
Levels has no choice but to unfollow Scoble and anyone with a ton of followers if he wants this new algorithm to work.
The better solution is the ability to disable 2nd degree followers for Scoble, without having to unfollow him entirely.
The truth is, anyone who follows a lot of people breaks this algorithm.
Another solution would take more work but is possible.
The whole who you follow signal on twitter is so broken for historical reasons that few people use that feed. They use the For You feed.
X should figure out who your “real” follows are. Whose stuff do you read? Whose stuff do you engage with? Who do you dm?
Using that would be useful to X in many other ways too. Then limit replies to your real follows and their real follows.
It may be nuanced how to message it to a non-technical audience, but the current model will fail.

@benjitaylor will you implement a liquid glass navbar? I think that'd be pretty cool
