@RepMarkPocan @charise_lee Ohhh I see, half truths. What did you guys leave out ??? Ohhh immigrations and customs enforcement, customs and border protection ? Why are those hard working men and women who are doing what the American people need & want, by the way, not worthy of funding?

The long lines at airports now falls squarely on Speaker Johnson's shoulders. The Senate unanimously passed a bill to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. But Speaker Johnson is refusing to let the House vote on it. If you miss your flight, remember, this shutdown is on him.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES!! Speaker Johnson just told the Senate to SCREW OFF, he's NOT passing their DHS funding deal that leaves out ICE "This GAMBIT that was done last night is a JOKE! It CAN'T be that every Senate Republican read the language of this bill!" 🔥🔥🔥 Johnson then READS where the bill says ICE won't get funded "WE'RE NOT DOING THAT and it is unconscionable to me that the Democrats would force some sort of negotiation at 3 o'clock in the morning and try to hoist this upon the American people and then get on their JETS and GO HOME for their holiday and pretend and think that we're going to go along with that!" I built a free live TSA wait time tracker that shows live wait times by checkpoint, including Precheck, Clear, and priority (where available). I did it because: - TSA lines are insane - Existing tools offer estimated waits - Test the power of AI tools tsa.fromthetraytable.com

NDI's own 2001 guide emphasizes the importance of only citizens voting. It further says voter ID cards "introduce an additional safeguard into the system" and describes photo ID and fingerprints as standard election infrastructure.

🧵 THREAD: Democrats TEACH voter identification and election integrity ... just not in America The Democratic Party has an international arm called the National Democratic Institute (NDI). It's funded by $181M/year in US tax dollars. Its board includes Stacey Abrams, Donna Brazile, and Tom Daschle. But in regards to today's SAVE America Act debate... did you know that the NDI has taught and supervised election processes all over the world? For 40 years, NDI has told every developing country on earth that voter ID is essential for election integrity. They've recommended biometric systems... yes, that's right, NDI recommended biometric systems, which goes way beyond SAVE America Act! They praised fingerprint verification. Tracked ID card issuance rates. Meanwhile, Democrats call the SAVE Act "Jim Crow 2.0." Same party. Same people. Opposite positions. As always, patience as I pull together the thread 👇

Hello Politico, You’ve published 1,500+ words about Senator Mike Lee and the SAVE America Act. Your headline conditioned the reader what to think before the first paragraph: "This is about attention." Your sourcing: five anonymous Republican senators, and a section titled "Leadership ambitions?" whose only function is to ensure the reader leaves believing Lee is just putting on a performance. The SAVE America Act requires proof of citizenship to register to vote. It passed the House 218-213. The President called it his "#1 priority." Harvard CAPS/Harris found in February 2026 that 75% of Americans support it. Your article does not contain the phrase "proof of citizenship." It does not mention any polling. It barely has any policy analysis. You have to remove the substance for the false personality smears to land. Now let’s examine the real reason you wrote this hit job. In January 2021, three of your staff left and founded Punchbowl News. They took your model with them. Then Jake Sherman said something you never have: on a podcast, he described Punchbowl's revenue as "nearly 90%" from corporate sponsorships." The documented sponsors include PhRMA, ExxonMobil, JPMorgan, Meta, and the American Investment Council. Turns out, you have the exact same sponsors. PhRMA pays for Politico Focus branded content. JPMorgan Chase is a Politico Focus client. The American Investment Council is a Politico Focus client. Meta sponsors your shows. You have Politico Pro, which charges K Street $10,000 to $30,000 a year for legislative intelligence — and accounted for approximately half your revenue as of 2015, with a 93% renewal rate. Your subscriber base is the lobbying community. They are also your subject matter. The same corporations fund both outlets. The same K Street audience reads both outlets. And both outlets produce the same framing: leadership is realistic, insurgent senators are attention-seekers, the SAVE Act has "almost no chance." Punchbowl's Andrew Desiderio wrote that. Your Jordain Carney wrote that Lee "doesn't have a realistic path." Two outlets, same sponsors, same audience, same conclusion. Your own article admits, buried below 1,500 words of anonymous attacks: Lee's pressure produced an open-ended floor debate "next to unheard-of in the modern Senate" and moved Chuck Schumer to concede ground on voter ID. You framed both as asides. An anonymous senator told you Lee's motivation is "the clicks." Lee does midnight livestreams explaining his position to anyone who wants to listen. Your anonymous senators called Politico. Your alumni left, built the same thing, and told the world what it was. You never had to. The article does it for you. Like @PunchbowlNews, you are a K Street sham, Politico. You should have all your Capitol press credentials revoked, because your entire existence is one giant violation of undisclosed lobbying restrictions.

Senator @ChrisMurphyCT — I want to make sure I understand your position correctly, because the alternative explanation is that you are just telling people whatever you think they want to hear. You are claiming the SAVE Act is Trump "taking over state elections to rig the vote." That is your claim. Let us examine it. H.R. 7296 — also introduced as H.R. 22 — does ONE thing. It requires proof of CITIZENSHIP to register to vote in FEDERAL elections. That is it. States still run their own elections. States still set their own procedures. No "takeover." No "rigging." Now here is where it gets particularly interesting: the bill accepts a REAL ID driver's license. A United States passport. A military identification card. Any government-issued photo ID showing the applicant was born in the United States. Multiple forms. Not passport-only — despite what the intellectually incurious corners of your party have been shrieking about. You know what ALSO requires this level of documentation? Getting a JOB in the United States. The I-9 form. The same documentation women who changed their names after marriage already navigate for employment, banking, and obtaining a driver's license. The idea that requiring citizenship verification to VOTE — the most fundamental act of civic participation in a republic — is somehow a suppression scheme is, to borrow a term from my profession, a hypothesis with zero supporting evidence. But let us apply Quinn's Law #2, because it is remarkably precise here: "If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing." The party whose coordinated effort to consolidate election machinery in 2020 was literally described by TIME Magazine as a "shadow campaign" — TIME Magazine's OWN words, Senator, not mine — is now warning us that THIS bill is an attempt to rig elections. Riveting. Truly. You also called Trump "historically unpopular." In 2024, Donald Trump won the Electoral College AND the popular vote. The last Republican presidential candidate to win the popular vote was George W. Bush in 2004. By the actual definition of the word "popular," that is the OPPOSITE of historically unpopular. I am a science teacher. I insist on words meaning things. I have written two pieces that apply directly to what you are describing. I would encourage you, or anyone on your staff with a functioning prefrontal cortex, to read them before drafting the next alarm post: If I Were a Political Party Trying to Keep Power by Any Means Necessary in a Constitutional Republic: x.com/BskiMike22802/… Is There Voter Fraud in Fulton County? Here Is What Bski Knows: x.com/BskiMike22802/… One of three things is true, Senator. Either you did not read the bill and are simply following the party script. Or you are not equipped to understand what you read. Or you read it, understood it, and chose to deceive your constituents anyway. Those are the options. There is no fourth door. But what do I know — I am only a science teacher who actually read all thirty pages of the bill, which apparently remains a radical and unprecedented act in the United States Senate. #MAGA #Trump

Bishop Ceirion H. Dewar FSHC
Bishop Ceirion H. Dewar FSHC@BishopDewar·
As a Bishop, I cannot stay silent. I have today drafted and sent an open letter to His Majesty King Charles III, the text of which reads as follows: To: His Majesty, Charles III, King of the United Kingdom and the Realms, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, Bearer of the ancient title Defender of the Faith. Your Majesty, I write to you neither as a politician nor as a commentator, but as one of your loyal subjects who, as a bishop of Christ’s Church, cannot remain silent while the Christian foundations of this kingdom are steadily dismantled. Sir, there are moments in the life of a nation when silence becomes a form of betrayal. If I refused to speak to Your Majesty now, this would be such a moment. For more than a thousand years the Crown of this realm has stood in solemn covenant with the Christian faith. The laws of this land were shaped by it. The liberties of our people were nurtured by it. The conscience of our civilisation was formed by it. From the abbeys of medieval England to the parish churches of our villages, from the preaching of the Reformers to the missionary zeal that carried the Gospel to the ends of the earth, the Christian faith has not merely influenced Britain — it has defined her. Yet today that inheritance is being quietly but deliberately eroded. Across the institutions of this nation there is a growing hostility toward the faith that built them. Christian belief is mocked in the public square. Christian morality is dismissed as intolerance. Christian institutions are pressured to surrender doctrine in order to conform to the ideology of the age. Within the very Church that bears the name of England, voices have arisen that appear more eager to mirror the spirit of the age than to proclaim the eternal truth of the Gospel. Meanwhile, beyond the walls of our churches, powerful political movements openly speak of removing Christianity from its historic place within the life of this nation. What would once have been whispered is now proclaimed openly: that Britain must become a post-Christian state. It is in this context that I write to you, Your Majesty. For the British Crown does not stand apart from this crisis. The Sovereign of this realm bears a title that is not merely historic but sacred in its origin and meaning: Defender of the Faith. Those words are not decorative. They are a charge. They speak of a monarch whose duty is not merely to preside over the ceremonies of the Church, but to stand as a guardian of the Christian inheritance of the nation. Yet many among your subjects now ask, with increasing anxiety: “Who will defend that inheritance today?” They see a nation drifting from its foundations. And they ask whether the Crown will remain silent while that inheritance is dismantled. Your Majesty, may I be so bold as to observe that your coronation oath was not a poetic formality. It was a solemn vow made before Almighty God to maintain and preserve the Protestant Reformed Religion established by law. Those words bind the conscience of the sovereign. They remind the Crown that its authority is not merely constitutional but moral. The monarch is not merely a symbol of national continuity, but a custodian of the spiritual inheritance that shaped this realm. History records moments when kings and emperors were confronted by the Church and reminded that their authority was accountable before God. In the fourth century Ambrose of Milan stood before the Emperor Theodosius I and reminded him that even the ruler of an empire must bow before the moral law of Christ. That tradition of prophetic witness has never disappeared. Nor should it. For when rulers forget the foundations upon which their authority rests, the Church must speak — not with hostility, but with holy clarity. And so, I write to say this, Your Majesty: The Christian character of this nation is under profound and accelerating assault. If the Crown does not stand visibly and courageously in defence of that inheritance, history will record that the guardians of Britain’s institutions watched in silence as the foundations were removed. The issue before us is not nostalgia. It is civilisation. Remove Christianity from the story of Britain and you do not create a neutral society — you create a moral vacuum. And history teaches us that moral vacuums are never left empty for long. Your Majesty now stands at a crossroads that few monarchs in modern history have faced. For the erosion of Britain’s Christian inheritance will not ultimately be judged by speeches made in Parliament or debates in the press. It will be judged by whether those entrusted with the guardianship of our ancient institutions chose to defend them — or merely preside over their quiet surrender. You may preside over the quiet dissolution of Britain’s Christian identity. Or you may rise to the ancient responsibility entrusted to the Crown and speak with clarity about the faith that built this kingdom. The first path requires little courage. The second will require a great deal. But it is the path that history honours. Your Majesty’s subjects are not asking for religious coercion. They are asking for leadership. They are asking that the sovereign who bears the title Defender of the Faith remember what that title means. They are asking that the Crown hear the growing cry of anguish from Christians across this land who feel that the spiritual inheritance of their nation is being surrendered without resistance. And they are asking whether the Crown will stand with them. For the faith that shaped Britain is not merely a cultural ornament. It is the wellspring from which our laws, our liberties, and our moral imagination have flowed. If it is cast aside, the nation will discover — too late — that it has severed itself from the very roots that sustained it. Your Majesty, to many the Crown is a symbol of authority. But before God it is also a symbol of stewardship. And stewardship carries with it the duty to defend what has been entrusted. May Almighty God grant Your Majesty the wisdom to discern this hour, and the courage to fulfil the sacred duty entrusted to the Crown. Yours faithfully, Bishop Ceirion H. 🚨BREAKING: SecDef Pete Hegseth stares right at the press and goes scorched earth, spelling out their insanity. I could watch this all day. "You, and I mean specifically YOU, the press, you cheer against Trump so hard, it's in your DNA and in your blood to cheer against Trump, because you want him not to be successful so bad, you have to cheer against the efficacy of these strikes. You have to hope maybe they weren't effective." "Maybe the way the Trump administration is representative isn't true. So let's take half truths, spun information, leaked information, and then spin it, spin it in every way we can to try to cause doubt and manipulate the mind, the public mind, over whether or not our brave pilots were successful." "How many stories have been written about how hard it is to, I don't know, fly a plane for 36 hours? Has MSNBC done that story? Has Fox? Have we done the story how hard that is?" "There are so many aspects of what our brave men and women did that because of the hatred of this press corps are undermined because people are trying to leak and spin that it wasn't successful. It's irresponsible." "You're undermining the success of incredible B-2 pilots and incredible F-35 pilots and incredible refuelers and incredible air defenders who accomplished their mission." "How about we talk about how special America is, that only we have these capabilities? I think it's too much to ask, unfortunately, for the fake news. So we're used to that."
