@AllisonB I can honestly say I’ve never flown United again since they screwed me over ten+ years ago, even when they were they cheapest option. I hold a grudge.

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… SWEs with 15 years’ experience who can’t split a string on spaces. DevOps people who suggest N^3 traversals of large micro-service networks. All these engineers will go work for enterprise shops, lost in IniTech, like tears in rain.

@caseyliss Please, please, please do NOT try to do fiber. I *promise* you that (unless someone gives you buckets and buckets of old gear) it will be WAAY more expensive than the pre-made cable thing that your cohosts are recommending. Buy an RC plane, or a new car. Both cheaper.

Here, let me restate that: Does anyone know of a guide for people long used to Trunk-based development who are being forced into Merge/PR-based development?

I would just like to tell anyone who cares how much I despise the Git Merge/PR-based workflow (compared to the Trunk-based workflow). I swear some days I spend more time just fighting with the Merge workflow than I do actually doing "real work".

@Spotify Noticed today that I'm being charged monthly, but when I log in, it says my plan is "Spotify Free." Been through a bunch of support docs, but can't figure out how to correct this, since your system seems to think I'm not being charged (but I am). Halp!?

@badsedge It’s about protecting the entire market. If you buy fresh chicken from WF or a farmers market, you don’t need to scorch it to 160. If you buy the clearance shelf stuff from the corner store that’s already past its prime, better safe than sorry.

Why does the @USDA recommend food temperatures that are so crazy high that everyone ignores them? Wouldn’t it be more useful if they had realistic temperatures rather than “everything should be well done”?

@SlackHQ Moar feedback: Tried your suggestion to turn off animation. Less distracting than the animated version, but it leaves the bookmark toaster "bread" visible. I guess that's better, but really, I just want this entire feature to be less... visible.

@SlackHQ Please tell me there's a way to turn off this "Add a bookmark" upside-down-toaster UI element. It is beyond distracting, stealing the attention of my peripheral vision dozens of times daily. Unbelievably distracting. I don't want bookmarks, I want focus. Thanks!

@SlackHQ @SlackHQ Thanks. I would love to be able to still see animated images and emoji without seeing the bookmark upside-down-toaster, so I appreciate your sharing the feedback. I guess I'll live in no animation mode for the time being.

@ipmcc123 You can disable the bookmarks animation by navigating to 'Preferences' > 'Animation' > 'Allow animated images and emoji'. We'll share some feedback with the team that a specific setting would be nice to have. 📝

@RealSexyCyborg @AfterShokz I'm on my FOURTH pair since Jun of '18, so I sympathize. But I just love the functionality *so much* that I keep doing the warranty thing and buying new ones when it runs out. I wish there was a better alternative, but I haven't found one yet.

Much as I loved my @AfterShokz the first few months they fall apart really quickly and I have to withdraw my recommendation. The drivers start rattling inside and then the band snaps. This is my second pair this year and at $200 a pop that's just not even close to sustainable😬
