As part of my CPD event on Monday, we looked at how we, as coaches can work with parents. 99% of parents only want whats best for their child. If we can education them on what we are trying to achieve, and make them part of the experience, life as a coach becomes much easier.

Sharpen the Attack: Master the 3v2 ⚽🔥 Ready to level up your team's decision-making in the final third? This 3v2 to Goal session is all about exploiting space, enticing defenders, and clinical finishing. 📋 The Setup The Scenario: A high-speed 3v2 counter-attack. The Start: Action begins with the GK playing the ball out to three attackers. The Defense: Two defenders start wide and must recover centrally to protect the "heart" of the pitch. The Objectives: Attackers aim for the big goal; if defenders win it, they counter to the mini goals. 💡 Key Coaching Points To master this drill, focus on these tactical essentials: Entice vs. Share: Recognise when to carry the ball to draw a defender toward you and when to release the pass to an open teammate. Utilize the Thirds: The pitch is split into three zones. Use them to create passing lanes and move defenders out of position. Smart Movement: Make diagonal runs from the outside thirds into the middle, playing right on the defender's shoulder. 🚀 Level Up (Progression) Want to raise the stakes? Goals scored in the central area are worth double! 🎯 This encourages your attackers to penetrate the most dangerous part of the pitch. #Coaching #Academy #Development #3v2 #Attacking
