Stripping that section would lead to less buy in from the ~250 schools that currently support.

The NCAA is still pushing to have the Protect College Score Act apply to pending lawsuits where its eligibility rules have been enjoined (like the Chambliss case).
Aim is to prevent athletes who have been granted injunctions in currently pending cases from being allowed to play.
