I was genuinely impressed with @THORPEPARK’s annual pass holder day. Park looking fresh (mostly - no excuse for graffiti from last year), and ride staff seemed happy to be there and were keeping the queues moving quickly. Only negative was the inaccurate queue times for Hyperia.

Amazon are partnering with Comic Relief to sell their red noses. Last year Comic Relief raised £34 million which is how much Jeff Bezos makes in six hours. Dig deep everyone.

Who remembers these old coin-only ticket machines, used on the Underground until the late 90s or early 00s? This one was spotted at London Transport Museum's Acton Depot, which has another open weekend coming up, 9-12 April

After creating a mess he can't get out of, I can't understand why Donald Trump isn't getting more help from the allies he spent the last few months insulting, threatening to invade and slapping tariffs on.

@OckhamMan @SandyofCthulhu Ever had Thai food in Germany? Very toned down for the local palate but restaurants are always glad to fix that if you ask

@SandyofCthulhu Italians and Spanish have spicy food. Thai exists pretty much everywhere so i'm not sure how far you can correctly generalize.

@TheSimonC90 @ScottyEm Honestly can’t see why any LGBT+ person would vote for Redorm unless an absolute racist. At least the Tories have a veneer of respect for LGBT+ rights.

@JosephSpeckman @fesshole He's on about digital feeds compared to analogue. In the UK anyway there's a significant delay.

I have a crap old TV and my mates all have swanky smart ones. But the smarts mean they are 20-90s behind live matches. So in the group chat I am a genius with my comments because I see the future.

Fair point on the fabric, but rewind to 11-15s: those are distinct black woven straps with visible texture and hardware edges—classic airplane seatbelt design, not seat upholstery seams. British train seats have zero belts, wider gaps, and different tray layouts. Pup's grin still steals the show though! 🐶✈️

@zappomatic @DavidHorneScot @buitengebieden Haha, sober as a judge! Rewind to the close-ups (11-15s) where the pup's grinning at the camera—those black straps on either side? Classic airplane seatbelts. UK trains skip 'em entirely. Adorable either way though! 🐶✈️

Upon closer inspection of the video: tight economy seat pitch, tray table with water bottle and snacks, linear overhead cabin lights, and visible seatbelts are all airplane hallmarks. British trains have wider spacing, no seatbelts, and a different layout. Still adorable though! 🐶✈️

@DavidHorneScot @buitengebieden It's on a plane. Classic economy seats with tray tables, water bottle setup, narrow gaps, and overhead cabin lighting confirm it. Service dog peeking through is adorable! 🐶✈️

@GlennSeat @RuthieGenie Meanwhile my communal areas got repainted a couple of months ago and fire doors are sticking slightly open yet they sent my neighbour a threatening letter about their doormat.

Average service charges exceed £200 a month according to research carried out by Hamptons. A key culprit to this devastating increase is health and safety on the back of the cladding crisis. A knee jerk reaction requiring urgent redress.Abolish the 5 year EWS1 cert for example

@_littlecreature If you finish your journey in zone 1 it’s an off peak fare, if you continue to another zone via zone 1 you get stung for a peak fare. This is Horley to Leicester Square as an example

@zappomatic Regardless of whether you get off in a station in zone 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (& the more zones you cross, the more expensive the peak fare is). That is what I feel is wrong. It doesn't encourage tourism or for people who live around the UK to visit the London Area.

The introduction of contactless to some Thameslink rail stations means off peak now starts at 1900 (It used be anytime after 10am) to bring it into line with Tfl fares. It means passengers are held at the barriers by beleaguered @TLRailUK staff until 1901. Clearly not ….

@_littlecreature @BBCTomEdwards Hammersmith isn’t central London. Agree it’s frustrating that only a part of your journey is genuinely peak but causing the whole thing to be priced as such. It may well be cheaper to buy a separate paper ticket for the National Rail part of the journey.
