After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

When you want someone to do something for you, it’s better to be helpful and tell them they’re awesome. If you experiment with something like, I don’t know, calling them a pedophile and aligning with people who try to kill them, then you probably won’t be too successful.

It’s great that he’s stopping, but I would be surprised if this was the end of the Trump/Iran saga. Just like the strikes last summer weren’t the end.
Ultimately Israel knows Trump might be the last president willing to go to war for them so they have a limited window to permanently neuter Iran.

My guess is that Tucker represents a portion of the intelligence community which doesn’t like Israel, and to a lesser extent has problems with the intel community leadership.
Tuckers Dad was leader of VOA of course, but he was also very close with ex-CIA officer Joe Kent. Another ex-CIA officer John Kiriakou who has blowing up on TikTok has also praised Tucker, appeared on his show, and has been very critical of Israel.
