@Really_Hamilton @TaraBull They took 1610 out of 2489 that’s roughly 65% so you would be correct. Then the rest goes to taxes and benefits.

This sick predator operated a theater and program for child abuse victims in PA. Children went there to get over past abuse and he groomed and abused those children. That's how sick this MF is. Pure evil.

@dubdisco1966 @2501_godzilla That guy is a reviewer. Every time he gets excited with how good something he reviews is, he throws his glasses. The throwing of the glasses means the meat exceeded all his expectations and the act of throwing is an outlet for his excitement.

Romo during the AFC championship game between the patriots and chiefs called like 3 or 4 plays in a row before they happened. He would tell the audience where to look before the snap. I guess they made him stop doing that eventually but he’s my favorite broadcaster. Dude knows ball.

Wow: Cam Newton implies that he doesn't get paid the same as Tom Brady or Tony Romo on TV because he is Black. "I think you're the only black quarterback on television." "Can we keep it funky? I don't get no Brady deal. I don't get no Romo deal and that's just facts." 😳😳😳

I get this take too. I feel like he’s kind of in the same category as Russell Wilson. Will probably eventually get in but it might be a long time till it happens. Definitely missing a lot of accolades but when you’re a top 15 passer in league history with a ring that’s a pretty solid case to eventually get in

@ASandyTurtle @gavinmchughh He has 1 award in his career, CBPOY, no Pro Bowls, MVPs, OPOY, All-Pros. Problem is when you compare him to his contemporaries his numbers don’t seem that gawdy. I am not saying he’s not a great player, but I once heard it’s the HoF not the Hall of Great.

Carted off’? Please. Lambert played with teeth missing, Jack Youngblood played a Super Bowl on a broken leg, and Randy White ate double-teams for breakfast. Today’s stars are monsters, but under ’78 rules they’d be the ones crying for flags while the old heads turned Sundays into survival camp.

My how times have changed. Kickers nowadays routinely make 50- and 60-yard field goals. On September 17, 1978, NBC's Marv Albert and Bob Trumpy were incredulous that the #Seahawks' Efrén Herrera — a Pro Bowler and one of the best kickers of his era — connected on a 45-yarder.

It’s the rules that are soft today not the players. Can you imagine a 1978 offensive line trying to stop Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa? You’ve gotta just be rage baiting at this point because there is no way you actually believe what you’re saying right now. I’m not just saying the players today are bigger, I’m saying they are also far stronger and faster too. F=m*a, it’s really simple physics. All those players you just listed would get carted off the field in the first quarter.

@ASandyTurtle @Doing_my_best1 @KevG163 Put today’s NFL stars in 1978 rules and watch them cry for a flag after Mel Blount tosses them into the 3rd row, Lambert snaps their mouthguard in half, and Randy White lives in their backfield. Bigger doesn’t mean tougher. Those ’78 All-Pros played REAL football.

@robert23190 @Doing_my_best1 @KevG163 Have you looked up the difference in size speed and strength in today’s nfl vs back then? Can you imagine how good a modern nfl defense would be if they got to play with the same rules as back then? Any modern nfl team would win 70-0 easy.

Defenders could bump, grab, and hit receivers anywhere on the field until the ball was thrown. Offensive linemen had to keep elbows in, fists closed — no extended arms or open hands. Late hits, high hits, and “clotheslines” were common the rules were looser and the players were tougher.

Let’s run the math on that actually. So if he liquidates all his assets and gives up control of all his companies he’d be left with 400b. He could fund hunger programs in the US for approximately 2.3 years before he runs out of money. 12.5% of the population gets some sort of food assistance (45M people). If we extrapolate that to the rest of the world for simplicity’s sake then that would mean 1B people need food assistance. 150B a year to feed 45M people so you’d need $3,333 per person. 1B people at 3k each per year means he would need over 3 trillion dollars to end world hunger for one year. Thats if we ignore all sorts of other factors like logistics and corruption in the countries needing assistance.

A homeless guy once asked me for food outside a strip mall. I said I’m heading into the Mediterranean place to get a gyro and said he could come with me i’d get him one. He said no I don’t want that and pointed to the lobster place on the corner and said he wanted lobster. I told him beggars can’t be choosers and he got nothing instead.

@middle_class_us The only excuse for not having a home by 30 is an unwillingness to have a shitty starter home. Tips I did for my 1st home I bought as a student: 1. Get married. 2. Move to an affordable area. 3. Buy a duplex to start, so your tenant pays your mortgage.

Ironically, the root of homelessness is prosperity. Our nations are so prosperous these days that Darwin’s rules about survival of the fittest go out the window. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, most of the “homeless” would just simply die. Now, social nets are so strong that survival does not require much effort. You can get free food, free healthcare, there are all sorts of free safety nets. Now even the bottom of society can survive when they in the past would not have lived very long. When these people’s needs are met for free, any extra dollar allocated to them can be spent on non-essentials like drug addictions instead of survival. There are definitely exceptions, some people just have bad luck and survive off social nets until they can get back on their feet which is why those nets are good to have, but that is generally the exception and not the rule.
