Trump is bad, but as a Black American, no other president set my people back more than Andrew Johnson in so many ways. He single handedly messed up Reconstruction and we are still dealing with the aftermath even today in politics, society etc.

People will say Buchanan or Andrew Johnson but I kinda view those guys as plumber-ball era presidents. The US was just so much less globally important and powerful so even a truly terrible president mattered so much less. Trump’s idiotic whims become instant global problems now.

I’m not sure how you have a doctorate and you continuously spew ignorance. While I’m not above criticizing both parties and right now both parties can suck a fat one, Democrats have passed ample laws since the 60s that progressed black ppl by way of civil rights activists.

Not one Senate Democrat showed up to work today. I have never seen anything like it in all my years in Congress.
They expect DHS employees to show up without pay while they won't even do their own jobs. Shameful. Americans should be absolutely outraged.

BREAKING: Acting TSA Administrator Ms. Ha Nguyen McNeill testifies before Congress that TSA is currently suffering the longest wait times in agency history, with callout rates hitting 40-50% at some airports and more than 480 employees quitting since the shutdown began. McNeil testifies that TSA has been shut down for half of fiscal year 2026, and $1 billion in TSA paychecks will be missed if the shutdown isn't ended by Friday.
She testified that to make ends meet, TSA officers have been selling blood and plasma and sleeping in their cars. Some have received eviction notices, missed bill payments and accrued late fees, damaged their credit, and have defaulted on loans, but are “still expected to perform at the highest level”.
