@fromsoftserve Optional feature getting people into a craze lol. I have a mod like this for Cyberpunk that makes it skip at 5x speed. If you're on your 2nd, 3rd, 4th+ playthrough it's great to have a speed up or skip feature. People are so eager to jump to outrage over trivial topics.

One of the features I really liked in Crimson Desert is you can fast forward through dialogue while still being able to understand the context, it's not a jump skip, but a time save

@GwenpostingTTV The OP has to be a LARPer because if they knew anything about COD4, it's that it had some of the most unique movement mechanics in the franchise (especially for speedruns) outside of the actual exosuit-related COD games.

It's time for people to realize that games felt more "tactical" when you were 12 because nobody knew how to play these games, and the basic mechanics of CoD were tightly made at the time, and good, but it's completely normal to "grow out" of CoD if you kept up with the hobby.

It's an artstyle; it feels cohesive (though awkward at times), and I have not found the world design to be nonsensical. Saying there is no continuity between the world design and storytelling feels *so* wrong. Especially after reading lore.

There is no reason in one room the walls are bright red, the door is bright orange, the stairs are neon green, and the cieling is bright yellow. It makes no sense for corporations to paint things in that manner.

Outside of the Marathon vs Arc convo. I think this is a perfect reflection of the way streaming (especially from larger creators) is no longer about taste making and way more about trend following which is why I’m losing interest in the space as a viewer. It used to be super fun to find diamonds in the rough, but it just continues to be the same folks playing the same games with the same group of people. It’s kinda boring.

@PorkPoncho I had a vastly different experience today. Definitely had PvP and wasn't much of an issue navigating the map, but I understand it can be wildly different across different sessions, levels, and groups of players. I think it's too early in the 2 week period to make a conclusion.

My Marathon hot take is that I was wrong about Duos and should've never asked for it.
Played around 10 rounds and its just people hiding in corners, buildings or skulking around the edge of the map.
That hits different in solos because in solos it feels inherent to that experience and plays out like a stealth game. But in duos that doesn't feel right and its not very engaging at least to me anyway, to be honest its mostly boring.
Its easy loot though because most of the people in the mode are clearly scared to properly push engagements and would rather hide behind walls and rocks, so play a destroyer and go for maximum aggression to guarantee kills.
But yeah @MarathonDevTeam and @Ziegler_Dev I don't think Duos is it. The pacing of PvP feels really off as a duo and overall I don't think it will benefit the game in general. Solos and Trios feels like a good set. Happy to be proven wrong in the long term though.
I'm fully ready to be crucified int he comments though by people who don't like the idea of making friends in the game.

They've been very responsive to general community feedback already, they're allowed to simultaneously run a fun community event for us to engage with.

Marathon is a fundamentally different game in a squad. I hope people are able to overcome whatever challenges hold them back from trying it because it’s so worth.

I'm less worried about the near zero ramifications of a game's title getting blocked out as a joke and more worried about Paramount's acquisition of WB, Palantir data scraping, politically divisive social media algorithms, etc.
