@FrauHodl Danke.

Looks staged somehow.

A must read piece: They came to build #China’s EV future. Investigators found conditions akin to ‘slavery.’ The electric carmaker #BYD was hailed as a job creator in a struggling Brazilian city. Then authorities started investigating an improbable tip. wapo.st/4bkKLLF

This @washingtonpost investigation is a must-read piece.
It exposes how BYD’s contractors allegedly used #forcedlabor of Chinese workers to build a factory and expand their operations in #Brazil.
Non-stop work without safety equipment, 20-30 people sharing one room, confiscation of passports... These conditions akin to modern day slavery are not only bad for Chinese workers, but forced labor by Chinese companies also harms Brazilian workers, American workers, and gives Chinese companies an unfair advantage against their American rivals.
At @NEDemocracy, we’re proud that one of our long-term partners, @chinalaborwatch has been at the forefront of exposing forced labor practices by Chinese companies around the world.

This man singlehandedly destroyed science as an institution
His name was Robert Maxwell, and he was the father of Ghislaine Maxwell
He turned scientific knowledge into a commodity, locked it behind a paywall, a created the system which breeds authoritarian, conformist scientists who are terrified to challenge established dogma
His system weaponized science for elite control
British jew, media tycoon, and Mossad agent
He was the first to turn scientific publishing into a ruthless commercial business, locked behind steep paywalls.
In 1951 he founded Pergamon Press, which launched hundreds of niche scientific journals - each a tiny monopoly in its field, demanding expensive subscriptions
Overnight, freely available public-domain scientific knowledge became gated behind high costs, accessible only to an “intellectually elite” class… the new “intelligentsia”
He called this setup “a perpetual financing machine.” and it became the template for the entire industry today.
This commercial monopoly on science extracts free labor from scientists, who work tirelessly to write papers, review work and edit manuscripts to further their career prospects - all at no cost,
The profit margins for scientific journals far exceed almost every other industry. The top publisher’s margins are higher than Google and Apple. Elsevier, for example, brought in ~ $1.4 billion profit in 2024 alone.
This is a huge business which artificially inflates the cost of knowledge dissemination - that is ironically funded in large part by the taxpayer.
Unfortunately the entire business model incentivises VOLUME over QUALITY: Careers, grants, and promotions tie to publication count in "prestigious" (high-fee) journals.
This means that researchers are penalized for publishing less, and are instead rewarded for pumping out high quantity with little inherent value.
In other words, there are tangible benefits to publishing junk science, manipulated data and fabrication.
This model disincentivizes and actively punishes genuine scientific curiosity, independent thinking, long-term/risky work, and controversial opinions or lines of research which challenge established dogma.
It breeds authoritarian, conformist, self-censoring scientists who are averse to risk.
Furthermore, it laid the foundation for a gated elite class of “intelligentsia”. Only those in the “club” at wealthy scientific institutions, who tow the party line, are granted access to scientific knowledge. Those who stray too far from the norm are shunned and expelled.
The ultimate result? A bloated, generic mess of low-rigor, irreproducible papers
This model, which still dominates to this day, facilitated the corporatization and weaponization of of science
What began as a relentless pursuit for truth was coopted and sacrificed for endless greed & elite control of knowledge itself

Beijing, China:
An ordinary citizen from China’s northeast traveled to Beijing to petition over a local grievance.
Instead of justice, he was chased down by local officials and assaulted in the street.
He was then handed over to public security and beaten in public for more than four minutes.
This is how petitions are handled in China.
This is the China you don't see...

Another energy deception by a wind & solar lobbyist, likely taxpayer funded.
Obviously, China’s coal share in the grid is falling due to steady additions of hydro & nuclear generation (wind remains a hobby).
But that’s irrelevant.
What matters for emissions is that China’s coal generation just hit a new record at 5,900TWh in 2025. At 38% efficiency, that’s 15,500TWh of coal burned just for electricity.
Add coking coal burn of 7,000 TWh (steel), 2,000 TWh (cement) and some Coal-to-chemicals + households to get to China’s total primary energy use of coal of 26,245TWh in 2024, another all-time-high.
Germany? 228TWh in 2024.
China thus burns 115x more coal (!!!) than Germany and the ratio is exploding as is the absolute number.
Bonus: The CCP approved another 292GW of coal-powered capacity to be installed bw 2026-2028. Germany has 32GW left installed.
Message: the CCP wants cheap electricity, among others, to dominate industrial goods globally.
The chap below? Wants a Marxist wind & solar system to personally benefit from it. Let’s stop the lies and deceptions.

@fmfclips omega-3s are fats. why should they require more fats for absorpion?
English

Taking omega-3s with a meal helps blunt the inflammatory spike that happens every time you eat
Even a healthy meal triggers a postprandial inflammatory response and a surge of LPS from the gut, and omega-3 has been shown to dampen that effect
At the same time, EPA and DHA are fat-soluble, so taking them with a higher-fat meal improves absorption versus taking them on an empty stomach

Xi met cleaners and delivery workers ahead of CNY and asked:
“How many hours do you work every day?”
The answer: "10+hours from morning till night".
Under China’s own Labor Law, workday is capped at 8 hours, with extensions limited to 1 additional hour.
Xi holds a PhD in law.

China just proved again that “rule of law” there is pure theater.
A Canadian man, Schellenberg, was sentenced to 15 years for a drug case. Case closed.
Then Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada.
Suddenly?
China reopened the case and upgraded the sentence to death.
Not because of new evidence.
Not because of new crimes.
But because Beijing was angry.
Later, two Canadians were jailed on espionage charges. Hostage diplomacy, plain and simple.
Now, years later, China’s Supreme Court quietly overturns the death sentence to “show goodwill” to Canada.
Let’s be very clear what this means:
A human life was used as a diplomatic bargaining chip.
Punishment was adjusted based on foreign policy needs, not justice.
And it tells you everything you need to know about how the Chinese system really works.
