#BREAKING : A routine eviction turned deadly in Porterville, California, when a suspect opened fire on deputies, killing one Tulare County sheriff’s deputy. The armed suspect has barricaded themselves inside and continues to pose a serious threat

Our hearts are broken. On this Easter Sunday, a wife, kids and grandkids are mourning the loss of this man. Per his agency: Deputy Michael Jimerson, 61, husband, father, grandfather, was shot and killed in the line of duty this week on disturbance call in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Deputy Jimerson and other Jackson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex around 11 p.m. Wednesday. One of the subjects fled, then pulled out a gun and fired as Jimerson pursued. Jimerson returned fire, and in the exchange of gunfire, both were struck. Deputy Jimerson was transported to Ocean Springs Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. The suspect died at the scene. Deputy Jimerson had served with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office for 16 years. Survivors include his wife, two children, and grandchildren. His son is a police officer at a nearby police department. “Since I’ve been here, I’ve never gotten a single complaint about him,” Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter told the Sun Herald. “He had a positive impact on everybody he met. The community loved him. Everybody at the Sheriff’s Department who worked with him loved him.” By day, Jimerson worked full-time for Sparklight Internet and Mobile, then spent his evenings patrolling the streets of Jackson County. “He would go to work all day at Sparklight, go home and change, and then go to work for the Sheriff’s Department,” Sheriff Ledbetter said. “Everybody just loved him.” Michael Jimerson. Say his name. His life mattered. REPOST and let's honor him. #thinblueline #Lawenforcement

A devastating day for our brother Jonathan Diller’s family and all NYC police officers. While his killer’s conviction on aggravated manslaughter, attempted murder and weapons charges – with a possible sentence of 90 years to life – delivers some justice, it can’t provide his family with full closure. No matter what the verdict reads, we will not stop telling Jonathan’s story, and we will not stop fighting for justice in his name.

Troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police seized approximately 40 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Ridley Township on February 26. During the stop, several indicators of criminal activity led troopers to deploy K9 Ivan for a vehicle sniff. The K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle. Inside, investigators located roughly 40 pounds of marijuana packed in boxes and buckets, along with approximately $6,000 in cash. The driver was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver narcotics, along with related misdemeanor and traffic offenses. 📷: Pennsylvania State Police Used for informational purposes. #NationalFOP #PennsylvaniaStatePolice #K9Unit #DrugEnforcement #GoodPoliceWork #ProtectAndServe

After more than 25 years of dedicated service, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the retirement of Deputy Brian Harris and K9 Ava. During his career, Deputy Harris served across many divisions within our office, including Detention, House Arrest, the Training Division, and Patrol, as well as 14 years with the WCSO K9 Unit. In that time, he helped develop and guide the program through his leadership, experience, and commitment to preparing both deputies and K9 teams for the demands of the job. K9 Ava faithfully served alongside Deputy Harris for six years, helping ensure the safety of our deputies, partner agencies, and the community. Beyond her work in the field, Ava became a beloved presence in our community. “Deputy Harris has been an integral part of the success of our K9 program for more than a decade. His dedication to training, mentorship, and service has left a lasting legacy within this office,” said Sheriff Darin Balaam. “K9 Ava has been an outstanding partner and a true ambassador for our agency, earning the admiration of our community. They will both be greatly missed.” Please join us in wishing Deputy Harris and K9 Ava a well-deserved retirement and many years of happiness in this next chapter. #WCSO #Deputies #Retirement #K9 #K9Unit #K9Retirement #ThankYouForYourService #ProudSheriff

🚨#BREAKING: A 16-year-old girl reported missing from Charlotte NC has just been FOUND during a traffic stop with a 37-year-old man. The driver, Joshua Magraff, 37, of Charlotte, North Carolina, initially said the passenger was his 16-year-old cousin. The deputy placed the juvenile in his patrol car and she told him her real name. Upon a search, it was found that the teen was reported missing a month earlier from North Carolina. Contact was made with the teen's mother. The mother stated she did not know Magraff and she reported her daughter missing on Feb. 16. When deputies asked Magraff what his connection was to the teen, Magraff changed his story to she was a friend. When deputies asked him why he was hanging out with a 16-year-old his story changed AGAIN to stating he thought she was 19. Magraff was arrested and charged with interference in child custody, synthetic marijuana possession, possession of counterfeit currency, contributing to delinquency of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. God bless our police officers, they DO NOT get enough credit for the work they do.

Our deep condolences go out to @PAStatePolice and the family and friends of Corporal Timothy O'Connor, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop. Corporal O'Connor served with the state police for 16 years and is survived by his wife and daughter. #LODD #EOW @ATFPhiladelphia
