The US military decisively defeated Chinese and Russian tech in both Venezuela and Iran.
It’s just lying to say otherwise.
Our only struggles have been entirely political and economic, but this would matter considerably less in WW3 given the stakes of losing.
Not to mention, China would be the invading force. If their technology failed in defensive warfare, how do they expect to win an offensive war?
Just pure demoralization propaganda. Assuming both sides were fully committed, America would win decisively in Taiwan as it currently stands.

Bigger story here: implied range of an Iranian IRBM from a launch box in central Iran, with a range of ~4500 km (distance to Diego Garcia). Theoretically could also target sites into Central Europe.

Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK military base sitting 4,000 kilometers away in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Neither hit the base, but the message landed harder than any warhead could.
Tehran has always publicly claimed its missile range tops out at 2,000 km.
This strike attempt doubles that number overnight.
The Khorramshahr-4 that likely carried out the attack can also deliver cluster warheads, the same munitions that have been devastating Israeli cities for three weeks.
Look at the map.
A 4,000 km range from Tehran draws a circle that reaches Paris, London, and most of Europe.
Every NATO capital that thought this war was a distant Middle Eastern problem just realized Iranian missiles could theoretically reach their doorstep.

@omriceren This is a good example of pretending something is significant when it is not. The presence or lack of MRBM capabilities was not one of the justifications for the war, and few people are surprised by this capability. It still does not justify a preemptive war.
