๐จ โ ๏ธ If Chelsea are to stick to their position then Liam Rosenior will stay next season but we heard Potter was the long term plan, Pochettino would be given time even on a shorter term contract and the same for Maresca, who was not supposed to be judged until this summer and then went before hand.
For now, Rosenior is safe, it will be important for the project and finances to get UCL Football. There are also a lot of managers set to be available in the summer but I am not led to believe โas of right nowโ that Rosenior is in any trouble.
For now, Chelsea are backing Rosenior but I think all parties are going to wait until the end of the season, at which point they will have more data and time together, and then we will see what Chelsea decide to do.
It will be a surprise if they change yet another manager, however there are high expectations this season and in general from the #CFC hierarchy.

Chelsea are behind Liam Rosenior and sympathise that he has come into a situation where the squad is said to be โknackeredโ and has not had appropriate time to implement his ideas. Summer target lists are underway with all eventualities being considered, as Chelsea feel UCL qualification will likely come down to fine margins in May. There is no current suggestion that the model will be changed. Chelsea also feel that contract statues with many current stars wanting more money is further proof that it would not be wise to chase signings that would be looking for a high base salary. The club want players to be together as a team and earn their money. There is not an appetite to create an entitled and unhealthy culture and the cost to risk ratio is high. Directors are working within the financial restrictions and the model put in place by Behdad Egbhali. There may be an odd exception but generally this is what Iโm told. All I know is next time we play in the UCL (whenever that might be). I donโt care where we finish as long as we get through. Top 8 or play-offs who cares.

I do think Rosenior needs to go. Heโs definitely not the main point in fault but you can see early when a manager/coach looks out of depth and unfortunately this is an obvious case of one. Not a chance the dressing room has respect for him, says a lot when Gusto called out the tactics after the first leg. Sanchez will have support in the dressing room too after being dropped and Enzo speaking about his future after the game. Thereโs nobody holding that dressing room together.
