In the next few months I am going to visit my big brother, H.E. Ruto. If I made mistakes in the past I am ready to pay cows for my errors. The brotherly relationship between Uganda and Kenya can never be broken.

✒️ 11,000 signatures plus: Kiambu is gripped by a man-made healthcare collapse, a crisis of failed governance that has abandoned patients for four months. Rather than fixing glaring gaps, county leadership has relied on intimidation, punitive transfers and media suppression, deepening the crisis and betraying public trust. Citizens led by @BungeMashinani now demand that the President restore healthcare and accountability.

The @MOH_Kenya held a very fruitful meeting with @KenyaGovernors deliberating on health corporation including the way forward concerning UHC staff transition. The meeting unanimously upheld that UHC staff who have been in health facilities attending to patients and have since been duly verified will with effect from September 2025 earn salaries at similar scales to all Health Staff who are permanent and pensionable. The Ministry of Health re-affirmed to avail budgets as will be required for that obligation until end of FY 2025/2026. The meeting also constituted a Committee of Governors to spearhead embedment of UHC staff in County Budgets through DORA beyond FY 2025/2026.

Health workers will not be used as pawns in the fight between @KenyaGovernors and National government. Our demands still stand that; 1. UHC workers must be absorbed this September as communicated by @HonAdenDuale. 2. Career Guidelines are policy documents and must be honored. 3. Salaries must be paid on time in line with employment act. 4. Article 41 of the Constitution must always be upheld by employers at all times. Workers can't be punished for demanding Labour rights as in the case of Kiambu and Kirinyaga. We are ready to defend this rights at whatever cost. We will communicate the plan of action in due course. It will be business unusual!
