She posted a video doubling down. Her defense? She said she didn’t insult the agents. She insulted actual pigs — the animal — by comparing them to ICE. “𝘐 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘪𝘨𝘴. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘪𝘨𝘴, 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘪𝘨𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭.” Then came the Nazi comparison. Lincoln told her audience that anyone criticizing her behavior has revealed something about themselves: “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 1940𝘴 𝘎𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺. 𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.” So if you think a doctor screaming at federal agents in an airport terminal is unhinged, you’re apparently a Nazi collaborator. She accused ICE of “𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘊𝘌 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘺” and “𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘯𝘴” — unverified claims delivered without a single source, citation, or case number. Just vibes from a woman who 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬. And that’s exactly where the mask slipped. Mid-rant about human rights abuses, Lincoln pivoted seamlessly to a sales pitch: “𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬. She then lectured other doctors who stay out of politics: “𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳, 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘶𝘱.” Apparently “speaking up” means ambushing federal law enforcement officers in public while they’re doing their job — then running to social media to sell books off the outrage. As @ImMeme0 pointed out, Lincoln never advocates for American women or legal immigrants who’ve been victims of violence at the hands of illegal immigrants. That’s not the brand. The brand is calling federal agents Nazis and cashing in. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐜𝐡. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤.

Last year, Justice Jackson dissented in the U.S. v. Skremetti case-- in which she argued that states have no right to ban gender transitions on minors. Today, she was the lone dissent on Chiles v. Salazar, writing that "there is no right to practice medicine which is not subordinate to the power of states." So, states have no right to pass laws banning children from changing their sex-- but states DO have the right to ban counselors from telling boys they are not girls. You truly can't make it up.

The argument that “they only needed approval because they needed money” is incorrect. Congressional authorization is required not just for spending, but for altering federal property. The White House is federal property under the Constitution’s Property Clause, managed by the National Park Service, and subject to the National Capital Planning Act and the Anti‑Deficiency Act. Private funding removes the need for appropriations, but it does not remove the need for authorization. A privately funded ballroom still requires Congress.

The judge's argument falls short in two places: 1. Historically, Congress hasn't approved the majority of White House improvements. 2. Given the project's private funding, the judge's rule that Congress' "power of the purse" has to weigh in doesn't apply. It's a donation.

Administrative warrants only apply in public or open spaces. And detention is absolutely a seizure under the 4th Amendment.

BREAKING: Texas federal judge Fred Biery (Clinton appointee) has ordered the release of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos & his father from ICE detention in TX. In his decision, he includes a photo of the boy and gets today’s date wrong (Feb 31st doesn’t even exist) while saying that ICE’s administrative warrants “do not pass probable cause muster…that is called the Fox guarding the henhouse…the Constitution requires an independent judicial officer.” Judge Biery then goes on to write: “Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And the rule of law be damned. Ultimately, Petitioners may, because of the arcane United States immigration system, return to their home country, involuntarily or by self-deportation. But that result should occur through a more orderly and humane policy than currently in place.” Judge Biery’s LinkedIn page also shows him liking a post today about millions protesting President Trump’s policies.

When Democrats attempted to advance sweeping election reform legislation in 2021, Republicans were unanimous in opposition because it would have federalized elections, something we have long opposed. Now, I’m seeing proposals such as the SAVE Act and MEGA that would effectively do just that. Once again, I do not support these efforts. Not only does the U.S. Constitution clearly provide states the authority to regulate the "times, places, and manner" of holding federal elections, but one-size-fits-all mandates from Washington, D.C., seldom work in places like Alaska. Election Day is fast approaching. Imposing new federal requirements now, when states are deep into their preparations, would negatively impact election integrity by forcing election officials to scramble to adhere to new policies likely without the necessary resources. Ensuring public trust in our elections is at the core of our democracy, but federal overreach is not how we achieve this.
