Valiant effort from Saudi. Their 4-4-2 was pristine off-the-ball for the 1st half. Their switch to 5 at the back was merited as Uruguay were overloading them with 6 on the last line. But then their midfield looked so fatigued in those last 15 minute. It affected how compact they could be. They needed fresh midfield legs earlier.

I love the way Uruguay play football man, proper old football, fast paced, passion, strength, no time to waste one second, no back passing. Even if they don't have 1v1 dribble specialists, they're coming at you throwing everything. They deserve to go through with Spain.

I bought it at 2:17 a.m. while sitting on the floor with torn sketchbook pages around me. I had been trying to design a new side character for hours and everything I drew felt either too stiff or completely soulless. The fan was rattling like it was mocking me, and I was getting properly irritated with myself. Out of frustration, I opened my wallet and started mindlessly scrolling just to stop thinking for a minute. Then I saw this one. The character had one eye noticeably bigger than the other and this awkward, almost embarrassed smile. It looked like it knew it was flawed but was still showing up anyway. For some reason, it reminded me of the kind of characters I used to draw when I first started, before I started overthinking everything. I bought it without any real reason. Gas was high and I was already annoyed, but I just went ahead and bought it. I still have it. Every time I open my wallet and see it sitting there, it quietly annoys me in a good way. It reminds me not to kill the imperfect ideas too quickly. I didn’t buy it because it was smart or strategic. I bought it because it felt like a small, stupid reminder of how I used to create before I started trying so hard. Sharing this for @RallyOnChain because the whole thing still makes me laugh a little.
