(THREAD) My estimation of Tesla's robotaxi fleet in 2033. You'll be surprised how small it could be. I'd imagine Tesla's production capacity will be greater. Assumes that US growth curve starts in 2025 (with a couple of states), while China's starts in 2026 and most others start in 2027-2028 (Europe being the slowest). S-curves growth to up to 50% of current taxi, TNC etc market sizes across the world in Tesla's current markets. @mooroobee @MarnerJoshua @28delayslater Yes actually that's a great point! The wheel should have stayed straight after disengagement. Something is wrong. Tesla does need to investigate because this won't be the last time this happens

@IrrefutableSub1 @MarnerJoshua @28delayslater it turns after FSD is disengaged. And the steering is mechanically designed to center itself. It can’t be turned by rumble strips. This was clearly a manual input - human error. Having said that, Tesla needs to find a way to avoid accidental disengagement and mode confusion

@MarnerJoshua @IrrefutableSub1 @28delayslater No, rumble strips would not cause the steering wheel to turn on that direction by itself. If they did, they’d serve the exact opposite purpose of why they’re there and would lead to many accidents.

NVIDIA ROBOTAXI READY? IS TESLA DOOMED Nvidia has new level 4 chips for autonomous driving. Will this kill Tesla? @elonmusk They have 19 car partners who collectively can make 18 million cars per year. How many Nvidia Thor chips are installed in those cars ? Jensen must have announced orders of many chips for many cars? The Nvidia system will use LIDAR? There must have been many new orders for more robotaxi grade LIDAR for the millions of cars that Nvidia will enable with robotaxi ready systems. Jensen must have had BYD demonstrate a BYD car with Level 4 driving. Surprising since BYD said all of their cars starting in 2025 would have a BYD made Gods Eye driving system. Why is BYD switching from Gods Eye to Nvidia? I thought BYD had solved their autonomous driving.
