@BobGreenburg But it was perfectly fine that Old Forge beat multiple private schools this season, including several in the playoffs? Yet, they lose in the state finals to Sewickley and suddenly wanna cry foul. Funny how this "let's whine about imbalance" argument works only after a loss.

PIAA Executive Director Mark Byers tells me: "The letter from (Old Forge Superintendent) Dr. Gatto was received yesterday morning. I can confirm receipt and yes, I have read it. I will be responding to Dr. Gatto at an appropriate time."

One of the most radicalizing moments of my life was when I learned that they just stop collecting social security taxes on money earned over like $150K. Like you just suddenly keep 3-6% more money on all money over that threshold.
Fuck You I Quit@fuckyouiquit

Every dollar earned below $184,500 a year has a Social Security tax of 12.4%. Everything after that cap is exempt. If we lift this cap on the wealthiest earners, Social Security would be fully funded till 2070. The cap should not exist.

We’ve had some incredible upsets: High Point Miami University VCU Unforgettable shots from: Iowa St. John’s Kentucky And Nebraska vs Vanderbilt was one of the best games I’ve ever seen. The NCAAT is the greatest sporting event in the world. Absolutely nothing like it.

The Sweet 16 will be all power-conference schools: Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Big East. Since the field expanded to 64 in 1985, it has only happened twice: last year and this year. This year, we can now say it with three games left to finish, as they feature power conference schools playing each other. NIL + the transfer portal are hollowing out March Madness. The old Cinderella model is dying because mid-majors can’t keep the veteran cores that used to make these runs. Once those players establish themselves, they jump to bigger stages and bigger money at power-conference schools. The only double-digit seed left is No. 11 Texas. One of the richest athletic departments in college sports is not what comes to mind when you think “Cinderella.” A bracket with Siena, Miami (Ohio), Saint Louis, and/or High Point still alive would have felt a lot more like March Madness.

Every high school official watching the Arkansas v High Point game must be losing their minds. I counted at least 6 different players that didn’t have their jerseys tucked in during play!!! AND, play went on for several minutes! Relax guys, everything was still fine! 😂🤪😂

@TheLordRiddle It would be a scheduling requirement. 1 of 31 (or could also expand regular season)

I've been pushing that agenda for state inclusion for a few years. Nassau seems to be interested and Suffolk is not. They always point to the classification breakdown and that Suffolk has too many AA and A schools and not enough in AAA,B,C,D.
LetThemPlayNassauCounty@LetCounty

@Gregg_Sarra It’s a regular season game. You know what would be the biggest game of all time? When the coaches and administrators on long island finally get the balls to play in the state system and someone gets to a state final.

Tennessee was the worst possible matchup for Miami. It's showing.

Miami beat an ACC team and performed to seed expectations. That’s it. End of narrative. Awesome story

@LetCounty @CollegeHoopsTIk 🤦‍♂️ It is called a 68 team field for a reason. First four are still tourney games (or does SMU not get a tournament loss?)

The MAC regular season champions Miami (OH) RedHawks and the MAC tournament champions Akron Zips lost by a combined 42 points against the Power 5 teams that were afraid to schedule them.

No wonder these P5 schools don't schedule mid-majors. They're getting cooked by VCU, High Point, and Miami-OH. Even Sienna led for 90% of the game against Duke. No wonder they have to hide in their metrics faux bubble.

I’m choosing to remember Miami Ohio as that 31-0 team that won a tournament game over the ACC

The "Miami proved it belonged in this tournament" college basketball media crowd is kind of quiet right now with 6-seed Tennessee putting it to them. Little different when you're not playing an undermanned SMU team that had no business in the field.
