The experience in physical reality is not the mechanism that is creating that experience. The mechanism is the unseen process creating the experience. The experience is the result, not the cause.  We're only capable of seeing the effect, not what produces it. Attempting to test the experience doesn't tell what the actual mechanism is behind it. Therefore it's the wrong test. Empirical evidence gained through direct observation, measurement, or experiment is much like testing a projection to determine the color of the projector’s paint. No evidence is found for it, because there is no understanding for what it is, proving that the experience is not the mechanism. Subjective experience within the simulation is not equivalent to the physical mechanism producing it.
