Just a bear trying to get a nut. Also, buy physical media, regardless if it's books, CDs, DVDs, or Blurays. You want physical copies of information.

You cannot take someone's land, genocide a nation, and then want understanding. That's not how this works. The oppressed have a right to their feelings whether that's hate, anger, or down right violence. You can't kick a bees nest and then complain about some "ism" you felt.

Tolerating anti-semitic remarks in our movement makes it harder to build a mass pro-Palestine movement in the US, it's not that complicated

From a technical standpoint, Iโ€™m kinda disappointed by #CrimsonDesert, especially after all the hype from tech media/outlets and trailers. Donโ€™t get me wrong, the game can look stunning, but thatโ€™s mostly when you catch it at the โ€œright angleโ€ and under the right conditions. As soon as you start looking closer, a lot of flaws start to show. Thereโ€™s constant flickering and shimmering. AMD and Nvidia RR techniques can fix a lot of it, but they come with a very high performance cost that most people canโ€™t afford. Instead of relying on that, the game should have had a more effective denoiser in place to deal with these issues from the start. I also donโ€™t really get why the RR options are locked behind Max Lighting Quality, which is already extremely demanding. Pop-in is another big problem. Itโ€™s expected in a large open world game, but here itโ€™s just too aggressive and ends up being really distracting. There are also other issues, like the noise from the displacement mapping, which becomes especially noticeable in motion and adds to the overall shimmering, poor visual/performance scaling across settings, and a subpar DLSS implementation, among other things. Overall, I like the visual style, and I love the ambition behind the game and how they stuck to their in-house tech instead of switching to the much worse UE5 and this is definitely not the most broken launch ever, but it clearly needs more technical polish.

What do I expect her to do? I expect her to hold a press conference, and unequivocally denounce the Jew violence she glorified. I expect her to show shame for feeling glee at Jews being forced to dig their own graves by terrorists. I expect her to cry about what happened to the Bibas infants, like any non-psychotic person would do. I expect her to ask for forgiveness and understand she deserves none. I expect my party to give her husband zero political future because we donโ€™t celebrate people that cheerlead the rape and slaughter of civilians. I expect him to resign. Of course, we will get none of that. But itโ€™s what what would happen if our party actually practiced what we preach.

The backlash against DLSS5 is part of a trend. Almost everyone with a brain hates those 2min videos that claim "better than Hollywood with $1K", also hates the Copilot stuff Microsoft keeps pushing, replacement of human helpers by AI bots in every support site, etc.๐Ÿงต

Finally someone on Youtube with a pair of working eyes seeing what I've seen for weeks regarding this game. Literally no clue how everyone is praising this, especially "qualified" tech media. youtube.com/watch?v=ki3DRxโ€ฆ

A lot of morons believe this press release because Jeff Bezos has a lot of money. Automating manufacturing has been going on since the printing press in the 1400s. It will continue to happen, Bezos or not. And it will change jobs, not eliminate them.

BREAKING: The White House is out with a new National Policy framework for AI. The proposal says: "States should not be permitted to regulate AI development." It also says that states shouldn't be able to penalize AI companies when people break the law with their models.

Crimson Desert Cinematic Graphics at 4k resolution consumes only 6.03 GB of VRAM? Surely this reading is wrong because it also reads that my GPU has 16.99GB of VRAM ๐Ÿ˜…

@Logically_Left @nimlot26 AND YES, the first stages of the AI pipeline of old DLSS and DLSS5 must to be comparable, because the first stage is "understanding" the structure of image. Try to see in DLSS5 demo of NEW shadows, not improved ones, and explain how that's possible without lightning/depth info.

People keep sending me Daniel Owen's video which basically states that DLSS5 is an instagram filter because it uses just one frame and a motion vector. While his questions were valid and he actually got the replies he needed, his lack of basic technical understanding took him to the wrong conclusion. A lot of you have a very hard time understanding the basics of how a frame is rendered in your game and what kind of information is available before postprocessing and straight up went to the idea is that a rendered frame is like the screenshot you saved on your disk. @ado_tan and his friends have some amazing breakdowns about how different games render stuff. I suggest you to dive on his blog and check all of them out. This way maybe you will understand a bit more about how games are rendered. Here you have an article he wrote about how GTA5 renders a frame. I'm sure it will be eye opening for a lot of you. Till you do your research...I'll just go and play Crimson Desert.

@Logically_Left @nimlot26 Oh dear, here we go, I'm not going to explain you basic thinking like a child. Only some "tips": Why do you think that DEPTH info is used by DLSS, and do you really think that DLSS 3-4.x doesn't DETECT objects, and textures and enhanced them? Grids, vegetation and so on.
