This fucking team was put together primarily through advanced laptop analytics and a bunch of MIT fucking nerds who have never played a game of baseball in their lives, who are convinced that playing platoon splits and prioritizing the “three true outcomes” are the best ways to build a roster. They don’t believe in bunting, situational hitting, or any core fundamentals that winning baseball teams do. They don’t practice it. They don’t incorporate it. You don’t play baseball through a fucking laptop, and the 2026 Seattle Mariners should be enough of a reason to burn this RIDICULOUS fucking playbook. There’s a reason the Tampa Bay Rays are the best team in baseball right now, and the Seattle Mariners will be out of contention in approximately 20 days.

I've been to 95% of the NFL's stadiums as a reporter. Lumen Field is definitely not needing a replacement. Not anytime soon. Don't know why an owner would come in and want to replace one of the best home field advantage stadiums in sports anyway. It's in outstanding shape!

The reason it’s hard to sell is because a $10B price tag leaves a very short list of people who qualify to purchase the team.
